Moving towards the equipment, at first glance, they were different. In fact, there's only one. A simple iron sword.
Luckily, the quality of the item is tiers above the previous one. It was a shiny iron broad sword, no breakage nor sign of rust.
I took the sword and swung it a few times. The weight was light, just perfect for my taste. Although some would prefer the heavier sword for more impact, I prefer the light ones for mobility.
Moving towards the entrance of the arena, I waited.

The door opened up and I quickly walked up into the arena. In it, there was already a man waiting on the other side.
The man looks similar to the hulks from the previous fight however, this one was a lot leaner, a lot smaller, and a lot scarier.
The most terrifying opponents to go against are those who are fast and nimble and just by first glance, the hulk in front of me belongs to that category.
He is wearing a thin layer of leather armor with a similar broadsword at hand.
Unlike the last fight, this one would be a lot harder due to the fact that we have the same body type. My best bet would be to hope that his weapon mastery skills are close to none or that he was as stupid as the previous hulk.
Sparks of green and blue flew up in the middle of the arena, signaling the start of the fight.
I decided to test the skill level of my opponent by going for the first jab. I quickly ran up to my opponent and as soon as he was within my striking range, I swung a normal slash.
He reacted beforehand by blocking with his sword.
Seeing this, I changed the direction of my sword, moving it from a normal downward slash to a horizontal slash aimed towards his arm.
It seems like he didn't expect it and I was able to successfully injure his wrist, dropping his sword in the process.
Thanks to my agility, I quickly recovered and I dashed through his body with my sword.
Although his leather armor put up a slight resistance, my strength was able to slice straight through his abdomen, perfectly splitting him into two.
Soon after, he fell down, dead. It only took 13 seconds.

I ignored these notifications and immediately head back to my resting area. The difficulty level will not be considered complete unless I physically moved to my resting area. I assume it is.
Before reviewing my new gains, multiple notifications popped up.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

Interesting. To sum it up, I earned a total of 2 new passives, 1 upgrade, 1 new skill, and 6 new stat points.
Bringing up the profile menu or the skill menu is basically the same as the stat menu, through thought. I'll check my profile after looking at the new ability.
Boost. A pretty self-explanatory ability with a decently short cooldown. It does not use up any mana or stamina at all, at least it didn't say it.
As for my stat points, I decided not to use them right now until everything actually starts to get harder. The first mode was simple, the second mode was tiring, and the third one was surprisingly easy.
Wait. Why is the third difficulty mode easier than the first two? Shouldn't it be the opposite way?
If I were to guess correctly, the difficulty that I just beat was supposed to be difficult for the "normal" people...? Or was I too good and too fast to handle? Eh. I'll just take it and leave it before the system decides to make it a god-tier difficulty for the next one.
I opened up my profile menu to check my overall stats.

I see. So all my training has been recorded and translated into passive skills. It seems like I maxed out my weapon mastery skills, which probably greatly contributed to my win quite easily in the previous match.
Just like my routine, I waited for the next level menu to show up. Without thinking twice, I pressed yes, heading towards "NORMAL" difficulty.
*3rd POV Starts*
Bud, with renewed vigor after seeing his new gains, head back to sleep. He wasn't physically exhausted nor was he mentally exhausted. He just wants everything to pass by as soon as possible and sleeping is the quickest way to pass time. (Food was always provided before every match.)
However, due to his carelessness, he didn't realize that the mode that he picked was not just a simple NORMAL. It was the "TRY HARD Mode - Normal". Well...
Good luck, Bud.
