Time Skip and Beginning of Prototype 2
A year had passed since the second outbreak, Alex Mercer had been turning Blackwatch and Gentek officials into Evolved during this time, he'd manage to overwhelm the Green zone and turn all of it's residents into infected, Blackwatch managed to establish a foothold back in the Red zone while they're defending the Green zone's foothold as well. The Yellow zone was unnaturally safe from attacks by the Infected but Alex's true reason is just waiting for Heller to arrive in the Red zone, he was curious as to why he took so long even though the second Outbreak had started much earlier and Heller's hatred was early.
Heller had returned back to the military and received safe orders by the higher-ups as if he's favored, while the four reincarnators joined the marines, Chris became braver and less panicky about situations, Mark had been apparently in the Military before, Bonnie became slightly less impulsive and Arla had more backbone and no longer as shy. They were then asked if there were any willing volunteers to patrol into the Red zone, Heller volunteered immediately and the four reincarnators were reluctant, Chris wanted to help Heller in case something happens as he'd become friends with him though often quite rude and mad most of the time, Mark wanted to join to help Heller as well, while Bonnie and Arla joined them as they wanted to stick together as reincarnators.

"You know, I never would have thought that we'd become Marines in a different world." Said Chris, as he was next to Mark while Bonnie and Arla were across them while Heller was at the front.
Chris had already confessed to Heller that he came from a different world along with the others and that the world was a game, Heller thought of him as crazy when he said the first thing but after saying it was a game, he snapped, he took his words as if saying Colette's life and Maya's kidnapping were part of a game. Safe to say, Heller avoided him for a few weeks while Chris tried to apologize.
"I know right? To think we'd grow so much after coming here." Said Arla while Chris nodded and Bonnie agreed, "To be fair, if you have a zombie-like virus similar to Resident Evil's T-virus then you'd definitely change." Bonnie said as Chris and Arla looked each other as they shrugged.
Heller was currently running his fingers near the edges of his combat knife repeatedly with a frown on his face, while Mark was worrying of what will happen to them in this patrol.
After a while, Heller stopped and sheathed his knife on his torso where the sheathe was located.
The APC moved it's turret to survey it's surroundings until suddenly a car came flying right into it, the APC flipped over as the car landed while the five inside panicked and braced themselves.
Heller opened his eyes to witness the atmosphere a little reddish with a substance forming in the buildings and appearing from the ground as he stood up, he saw his squadmates on the ground as they begin to stand up, he looked over to them then head to where the voice was coming from.
"Ninja Three Three, do you require cas-evac?" A voice said from the communication's device, "Shogun, this is Ninja Three Three." Heller responded, "Copy, Three Three. What's your squad status?" The voice questioned, "Verifying..." Heller answered as he looked to the side of the destroyed car, locating the APC's driver. As he spotted the flipped over armored car with a Flyer at the end of it's tracks, it suddenly looked to the sky as it flew away while Heller followed it's gaze, he saw a figure falling at high speeds with an orange trail coming from it's body. It landed and caused Heller to fall from the force it created.
"What the hell was that?" Questioned Mark, as he heard an explosion nearby them, "Holy shit.... Alex Mercer." Heller responded, still in shock at his arrival. The reincarnators had their eyes widen at the revelation and slowly walked beside him to scout out at Alex. "Alex Mer- Oh shit, Red Crown, Alex Mercer has been spotted in RZ-Grid 34, I repeat-" But he was cut off as Heller turned the radio off to silence the noise, he saw Alex steadily walking towards them as he hid behind the car he was at and prepared to stab him when he arrived as the others prepared to fire their guns at Mercer, but he never came. Instead the car they were hiding at was thrown as it landed them on their butts or backs while they stared at Alex who had turned his arms into Tendrils, as his left arm stretched out inhumanly and grabbed Heller by the throat. Heller began stabbing the arm which is choking him, after a final stab, he dropped it as he began to choke and Alex's right arm turned into Claws and had the virus injected into him. After the action was done, Alex let go of him as he fell to the ground with Heller's last sight was Alex looking at him and moved on.
Chris was trembling along with Arla while Mark grabbed his gun and began to fire, it dealt nothing as Alex began releasing red gas from his body and the reincarnators began to choke, they all fell down as Alex then left.
A helicopter then arrived at the scene as they witnessed tendrils moving around the five people's bodies.

Rooks was currently sorting out how to deal with the five infected, he found out that all five of them to have become similar to Mercer. He was talking to Doctor Koenig about executing four of them while leaving one but he was opposing that decision. "But please, Major Rooks. There are five subjects for us to test, there may be a difference among these 'Mercers' that we have failed to realize and may be the key to figuring out the weakness of Alex Mercer." He tried to convince, "Fine then, but after you get your experiment results then you burn them all." Rooks compromised, "Burn the- No-" But he was cut off, "This is final, doctor. Either burn them later or kill them now." He silenced him as Koenig finally relented. "Let the test begin." He said as he waved his right arm and left the room.
Heller woke up to find himself restrained while Koenig cut him up with a saw, he heard how this conversation went and was released from his restraints as he stood up to find himself trapped in a room as overhead doors surrounded him, he looked behind to see the others with him on the ground as well. Until a siren was heard as an overhead door opened up to show infected, one began running at him before he punched it with his left arm as it drew blood then kicked it with his left leg.
"Let me outta here!" Heller shouted as the reincarnators woke up and stood. "What!?" Screamed Chris as his arms morphed into tendrils he's familiar with, "Did that guy turn us like him? For what!?" Bonnie loudly questioned. Suddenly multiple sirens were heard as all the overhead doors released all the infected, they then began punching and massacring the infected.
"Incredible, the speed of which I receive raw data is nothing like I've ever seen!" Koenig excitingly shouted, "I'm gonna kill when I get out of here. Hey you hear me!?" Heller shouted in between punches, "I don't think he does, there's glass separating us..." Chris responded. Heller then just shook his head, "They're too dangerous! Burn them!" Ordered Rooks, "Rooks, you can't! They're far too valuable." Pleaded Koenig, "I told you, that we kill them now or later. Riley, do it!" Rooks ordered once again, "Yes, sir." Riley followed his orders. Flames began appearing from underground, "What the-" Arla was cut off as the room exploded with flames.
A door then opened as seven Blackwatch soldiers ran inside with their guns aimed and ready, as they approached the burned and fiery bodies of the Prototypes, "No signs of life sir." A soldier reported. "Make sure, I don't want to more of these bastards appear." Rooks ordered, "Yes, sir." They followed as the soldiers fired two shots at each of them.
Heller suddenly grabbed one by the neck while the others followed, he then threw the soldier to the ground and crushed his head as the soldier was consumed while the others also consumed the others, the two Blackwatch soldiers were then attacked from behind by infected. The Prototypes began consuming the infected, "Dammit! Burn them again!" Rooks shouted as the room was once again ingulfed in flames, "Shit! The burner's jammed!" Riley reported to Rooks. The Prototypes then regenerate their wounds from the fire, "Don't worry sir, they're not coming through here." Riley said as if to jinx himself, Heller suddenly grabbed the table he was restrained in and ripped it off the ground, "Shit!" shouted Riley, Heller then threw the table as the glass shattered, "Ok, you fuckers come up here! I'll kill you all!" Riley taunted as the Prototypes jumped to the viewing room, as they landed, they ran right for the door while Riley and Rooks shot them. They managed to reach it they ran to the left into an alleyway, they looked around. Only to find themselves surrounded, suddenly Mark transformed into a Blackwatch soldier as they become shocked of him then tried it for themselves. They had succeeded and ran away, after a while they transformed back to normal only to find themselves wearing jackets with a glowing mark at the back.

Meanwhile, on a building observing them.
"Koenig did a good job, I might let him have satisfaction before I kill him then." Alex decided, as he wanted to award him. "How will you people try and kill me then?" Alex curiously questioned to noone.

On a military base, in Manhattan.
"The gamble seems to have payed off, and thankfully there are more Prototypes to stop him. What is he planning right now? He likely has enough infected to completely overwhelm us....." Cyrus sighed as he became serious.
"I need to capture at least one of them, so I can assimilate the virus inside my body. I'm taking another gamble, hopefully my body's compatible or my will is strong enough. He might also be planning on consuming the other infected to transform into Biomass overload." Cyrus muttered.
