14 Loyal Servants

For someone who was resurrected to a level 1 dragon race, the loss Evan faced was too steep.

Evan lost all his human abilities. He did not understand what made it not carried over to his new body. Even basic abilities such as speech, he did not have.

"Rawrr!" A cute growl came out as he started to open his snout and trying to speak.

"So cute!! Do it again, Evan!" Lucia lay down and shook her head, with her hands supporting her head in front of the little dragon.

'Why do you look so happy? I'm not showing anything cute!'

"Repeat one more time...Evan...!! Repeat one more time...!"

Lucia whined and rolled around like a child for Evan to repeat the cute growl one more time. Still, he didn't care because his mind was full of thinking about solutions to all his weaknesses.

Amid the anxiety that Evan felt, a unique creature came to open a large, gleaming door.

"Princess, is him... My King!! Glad your loyal servant can see you again." A Penguin with a black bow tie under its neck who wanted to ask about the condition of its king immediately knelt down respectfully when he saw Evan's dragon figure.

"Gerrow...!! Why are you interrupting my reunion with My King." Lucia, annoyed by the disturbance from Gerrow, immediately left her lying position and strangled the neck of the 1-meter tall Penguin.

"...Kwekk...Kwekk" Lucia shook the Penguin like she was shaking a can of drink.

The burden on Evan's mind increased after seeing a penguin who could speak fluently. But, before thinking any further, he had to save Gerrow, whose face had changed color. But before Evan could do so, a monster from the Treeman Race appeared from the door.

"Darkness Demon Lord... Is it really you...?" He looked trembled and was touched by the figure of a dragon that he thought was the previous King.

'No... I'm definitely not your king, I'm just a lost human.' In the same way, when talking to Lucia, Evan answered the Old Tree Man's question while confirming something.

If it was true what Lucia said that his dragon body had telepathic abilities, he didn't have to worry because he could prevent more misunderstandings.

"Foolishly I'm still questioning that, those dragon eyes and body are obvious you are the Darkness Demon Lord who is the True Dragon King."

'Oh, hey. Didn't I tell you that I'm not your king. Don't... Don't... I don't want to give you false hope!' The tree man acted like he didn't listen to Evan's words and knelt before the baby dragon.

After seeing what the Old Treeman did, it was inevitable that Evan had absolutely no Telepathy skills. Without the ability to speak, he had made Gerrow and the Old Treeman believe that he was the reincarnation of the True Dragon King.

Before he was bound further with the strange monsters, Evan must immediately explain and give an understanding to them that Evan was not the reincarnation of their king so that he could leave this place and continue his revenge plan.

'Lucia, leave the Penguin. There's something I want to talk about.'

"Okay." As Evan expected, Lucia immediately dropped Gerrow, who was foaming at the mouth, and ran towards Evan.

'Lucia, could you ask this Tree Man to stop kneeling.' Evan, who had served the kingdom, believed that the Treeman was waiting for orders from him to stand back up. But he certainly couldn't growl to make him stop kneeling.

"Sure... Piwood, raise your head."

Evan saw a different impression on Lucia when he gave orders to Piwood. He thought Lucia's leadership was outstanding. After the death of their King, maybe it was the Dragon Princess who was appointed to replace the True Dragon King.

"Why did you give the orders, Princess?" Piwood's wooden face contorted because it wasn't the king who asked him to raise his head.

While Piwood talked to Lucia, he quietly used his Appraiser skill on the Penguin that lay helplessly. He was sure that Gerrow and Piwood were necessary monsters under Lucia's leadership.

Evan was a little annoyed even though Gerrow was half level with Lucia. Still, he couldn't open the hidden status.

When Evan turned his gaze to the Treeman, he was surprised by what he saw.

'I underestimated him! He is 30 levels higher than the Dragon Princess.'

Evan was completely fooled by the appearance of Piwood, who looked old complete with white leaf hair. However, this was Evan's chance to explain things before it was too late.

'Lucia... Can you explain to Piwood that I am not the reincarnation of the True Dragon King.'

Lucia looked at Evan and nodded with a big smile. He was a little horrified by the reaction of the level 110 demon if the old man found out the fact that Evan wasn't the King he was referring to.

"Piwood, know that our King won't give orders to you, not because he doesn't want to. But he has lost his memory as his soul has been floating for 1000 years."

Evan was really impressed by the little girl's way of speaking. Still, the admiration was immediately dashed in the last sentence. Lucia smiled innocently at Evan after explaining it.

Lucia, who has the skill to read the minds of other creatures, already knew what Evan meant behind telling her to do that. Of course, she didn't do that because she didn't want her encounter with the True Dragon King after 1000 years to be so short.

'Luciaa... What did you just explain? I said...' Evan's protest was cut short when Piwood crawled up and hugged Evan's little legs.

"Eh-heeh... Stupid me for not realizing that you have a memory loss. Well I'll teach everything from scratch again, this is my atonement for my stupidity. Do you agree with that, My King??"

Of course, it would be unethical if the 3321-year-old man was crying and whining like a child while hugging Evan's legs. But that's what Evan saw with his eyes.

And because of Lucia's words to Piwood, Evan's attempt to leave this castle immediately had failed. And he accidentally had to bond with monsters he had never seen in his life.
