"For this evaluation, you'll face off against a restrained spawn," Marius announced, scanning the room. Marius grinned mischievously as he addressed the group.  "Your mission: sever one or two of its limbs."

Eve's eyes narrowed her eyes.

Fight a spawn?

They had only trained for six days!

She glanced around at the other women, all of whom appeared equally frightened.

Although it was a restrained spawn, it would still be very hard to defeat them.

"What if it bites us?" One of the women asked, her voice laced with concern.

Marius smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, a spawn's bite is not lethal. It's merely poisonous to humans. If you get bitten, just exit the fight and have someone check the wound. We can treat it as long as it's taken care of the same day."
