The Demon Empire
"You seemed so happy…" Prince Ace frowned when he heard his younger brother start humming a song that he did not recognize for the umpteenth time.
"Why cannot I be happy?" Prince Ninth smiled. His conversation with that sorcerer actually ended well. However, the thing that made him happy was seeing Evelynn's face when she realized that there was more than one Demon Emperor. To Prince Ninth, that helplessness and sadness were enough to complete his week. He smiled and looked at his older brother. "Should I perhaps, cry?"
The two were currently walking in a calm and relaxed manner deeper into the forest.
"You just provoked someone that the human emperor sent," Prince Ace said. "Is that why you seemed so happy? Do you truly want them to cause more problems for the demons?"
"Can they?"
"Peace is better than war."
"Hypocrite," Prince Ninth rolled his eyes. "War brings about changes. Peace is boring, it makes us stagnant."
