"Are you the sorcerer's son?" Eve asked. She did not know if she would laugh, cry, or feel offended about this matter.
A child? A nine-year-old child? Evelynn Rosetta would surely have noticed if she were pregnant, right?
"You do not believe me?" Nicho asked.
"I— Well— I have not heard that the sorcerer got pregnant in the past," Eve said.
"That was because she kept it a secret. She had to put me in the orphanage to keep me safe from her enemies."
"Mother Emalyn told you this?" Eve asked.
"Yes. Mother Emalyn would never lie."
"…" Eve did not know what else to say. However, she would love to meet this Mother Emalyn, and have a decent conversation. It would be nice to know why she would lie to a child. "Evelynn Rosetta has disappeared…" Eve said.
