Tales about Vampires
Eve maintained a pleasant smile.
"Your Highness, allow me to extend my congratulations on your wedding," a male voice broke into their conversation. She turned to find Baron Dante Thorn standing there. Earlier, she had noticed him not far from her sister and mother, but she had chosen to ignore him.
She expected the Baron to ignore her as well. In fact, she expected him to leave her alone. It seems that she was wrong.
Dante Thorn was not a reliable individual, and Eve could discern it simply by looking at him. "Baron, thank you for the well wishes," Eve replied with a smile. "I do not see the Baroness with you?" she inquired. Baroness Concepcion was his wife, and in the past, they had attended events with the prince as a couple.
During an incident when the prince had nearly killed the Baron, the Baroness pleaded for his life. Given that this altercation was Eve's doing, she could not help but wonder if the Baroness' absence was due to a dislike for her.
