A Bit Naive
"What do you mean?" Eve frowned, her expression blank. However, on the inside, she was extremely confused. Why did it seem like Maximilian Knight knew who she really was?
"Of the tale that you just heard…." He continued smiling.
"Evelynn Rosetta is… she is not a simple character. I would know these things…." Eve said.
"Do you believe that Evelynn Rosetta might still be alive?" he asked.
"Perhaps… after all, she is a very powerful sorceress…." Eve uttered.
"Powerful yet a bit naive, no?"
Eve immediately frowned. "Now, why would you say that?" she asked.
"Because she was…." Maximilian uttered. "It is not my intention to disrespect the dead. I am merely stating a fact. The woman focused her attention on magic and… research. All she wanted was to become powerful. Yet, in the end, she was betrayed by the people she trusted the most."
Eve was at a loss for words for a few seconds.
