Day 4

[Day 4, Morning]

Bekaar woke up on the bed, Lizzy was sleeping beside her on the bed, she noticed the bandages all over her body, she slowly sit up.

"Mm, you woke up big sis?," Lizzy still half asleep looked at Bekaar.

"Where am I?"

"Ohh, welcome to our Inn, you are Meham's friend, right? " Bekaar feels annoyed realizing she is in Meham's debt, "Did he bring me here?"

"Actually I did, Meham has some business in the town," Aram entered the room, "I should inform Ma, she will make nice food for you," Lizzy left.

"What business?"

"Well, something about negotiation for our money for the quest, he is out there since yesterday," Bekaar has no idea what he is talking about.

"So, you guys just left the group and settle yourselves good_ " Bekaar lowered her head.

"No, Meham said we need to gain power before reuniting with the group, and by power I mean information and money so that's what we are doing"

"Well that's what we did as well, but… I felt suffocated so I left the group" Bekaar's expression went pale for a moment.

'So Meham's guess was right, she did leave the group on her own

*Knock Knock* Meham entered the room, as he looked at Bekaar she covered her bandages with a blanket over her.

"How are your wounds?"

"..."

"Numb"

"Well that's normal, it means healing potions are in effect, have breakfast to recover then we will talk." Meham left.

"Wow that was awkward" Aram looked at Bekaar she did not respond just staring at the window.

Meham came down and approached Barbara who was cleaning the counter.

"Morning Meham! how is your friend now?"

"she seems fine, I let her relax for now"

"Okay, I am preparing special Lentil Risotto, it will be good for her"

"I appreciate it," Meham seemed a little hesitant, he placed a leather pouch on the counter and direct it toward Barbara, "Here is the payment for all the services," it was very awkward for him to discuss business with her since she was treating her way better than a customer and he knows that.

"Meham… What is this?" she was stunned by this sudden turn.

"I know you think I am paying you a bit extra, but I am staying here and counting on you for a while and I am looking forward to your terrific cooking every day! " he was having a hard time thinking of words to speak.

"Meham, that is not the point I am asking about, how did you get a pouch full of silver coins!"

"Oh that is some of the upfront payment, I got from the trading center on closing a deal" he explained how his last few hours were like.

[Last night]

After leaving Bekaar for Aram and Barbara, Meham went to the said destination Aram told him about delivering the gatherings.

"It's a herbalist store, of course," he entered the store to his surprise it was not much different from what he expected a normal herbal store would look like back in his world if he had ever visited one.

"Hello! Aram sent me "

"Welcome, I was expectin_" he stunned looking at tentacle-like pulsating stuff on his back,

"I got fresh stock as you can get, and I want to reconsider our payment amount agreement" Meham smirked with credence.
