Chapter 4 : Two-Identity Man

At the Hotel Bar, Lucas and Gabriel are sitting at the front desk drinking alcohol as the bartender slide another glass then clean the counter. "it's been a while the last time you stayed here Monsieur Gabriel and Monsieur Lucas" the bartender said.

Gabriel drank the glass straight in one gulp "O Monsier Lavigne, why do children had to grow up so fast?!" he's already drunk crying at the counter. Lucas pat Gabriel's back drinking a the whole bottle in one chug "My Grand daugther is gonna be a bride someday" he said his cheeks becoming red presuming he's drunk.

Lavigne wipe the wine glass with clean cloth as he sigh "to be precise she's turning hundred years old. But I guess she's still a lady" he said "Monsieur Gabriel you'll live more to see your daugther to get married" he compliment.

Gabriel's face flatten "shut up! She ain't gonna marry some jerk and they'll have to go through me!" he said feeling wobbly "you know a lot for a Warlock like you!"

"it's because I've seen and experience a lot for the passed hundreds of years" Lavigne said putting the wine glass back to its case "but my life here is much better than living in Orleans forest, the least I run my own hotel now and it's very nice of you stay."

"and why is it that started this?" Lavigne asked.

"I just caught a scent of a boy" Lucas said "he even treated my grand daugther for some latte."

"what a gentlemen, treating a lady for latte. Latte here in Paris are the best" Lavigne said.

"however the boy is Van Helsing" Lucas added his eyes became serious "but it would be nice to have a Grandson and great grandkids~"

"if I had Grandkids... I hope they grow up just their mother..." Gabriel mumbled.

*SCREECH...!!!*

Gabriel and Lucas quickly shot up from their seats, Gabriel's eyes glow red, Lucas's wolf ears, claws and tail morph as they rush towards their hotel room then ran towards Lucia's room.

Meanwhile

Above the roof of Paris the children of Van Helsing all five of them are chasing after Mr. Hyde but they lost sight of him, Liam ran left and right while carrying his scythe on the rooftops. He stopped catching his breath the wind blowing his black trench coat "dammit we lost him!" he groans.

Blaise followed up with his handguns armed "tch, darn it! We better find that bastard quick!" he jump on the street then ran searching the alley ways.

*WHOOSH!*

"LUCIA...!!!"

Liam's eyes widen hearing Lucia's name, he quickly jump towards the scene of the hotel the glass is broken the curtain being blown, Gabriel eyes glowing red and Lucas growling in anger.

*THUMP*

Liam landed on the scene at the balcony "Is everyone hurt?" he asked lowering his scythe. "we're fine, but..." Gabriel answer then look at the rooftops of Paris "that bastard took my daugther!". Liam quickly jump "I'll get your daugther back, I promise!" he vowed.

Same time.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU CRETIN!!" Lucia yell trying to free herself. Hyde sneer as he land at dark alleyway throwing Lucia at the wall, he took out the ominous vial "your essence is pure, immortality is mine" he laughs.

"I see, immortality..." Lucia mumbled in a serious tone as she stood up with her head facing down "you killed so many innocent people just for their lives, then I'll just have to end you!" her eyes glow red then ominous smoke swirling around her her fangs, wolf ears, claws and tail morph out.

"you're a werewolf?!" Hyde move back "werewolves havr banished a century ago.. but wait.."

*WHOOSH*

All of a sudden one slash exploded making Hyde jump away he whistles seeing such power "now I see why your essence is pure" he mumbled. Lucia's eyes glow red "shut up..." she then sprint slashing Hyde's arm off.

"Uck..!! My arm.!" Hyde groans in pain "you mutt!" he charges. Lucia took a step aside "full of evil... full of lust... full of sins..." she mumbled raising her right arm smoking blood and claws sharpened.

Cathedral Notre Dame.

*HOWL...!!*

A flock of bats followed the source of the howl as it landed in front of the Cathedral then form into human it was Gabriel "have you found her?!" he asked. Lucas morph back "I'm afraid her scent is faint, we've must have search farther."

"AAAHH...!!"

*HOWL...!!*

Gabriel and Lucas immediatley turn towards the source of the sound "LUCIA" Gabriel immediatley morph to a flock of bats Lucas morph into wolf form as they head towards the source of the commotion.

The rooftop

"what was that? A howl?" Blaise said below the streets looking up to Liam "you heard that brother?"

Liam look up "sounds like a wolfs howl, but here in Paris?" he mumble he shake his head "focus on the mission, we have to rescue that girl" he ordered.

"whoo! Roger that brother" Blaise respond running towards the source.

Back at the Alley

"dammit... you're a werewolf..!" Hyde bled holding his bleeding arm he groans in pain. Being stared by glowing blood shot eyes, growling fangs and shadow like fur "you brought this unto yourself, now pay for the consequences."

"Like I care, I have no regrets...- UCK?!" Hude grab his head as he fell down on the street screaming in pain few seconds later he calm down. Lucia's wolf form approached him slowly she stop when he move sitting up looking at his hands "what have I done..?" he mumbled started to tremble then slowly turn around what he saw was a shadow smoke like figure of a wolf.

Lucia morph back to human form "you seemed like a different person?" she said approaching the man.

The man sigh "my name is Dr. Henry Jekll" he introduce himself "the one you just encountered was Hyde, he's an alter ego of evil" he explained "I'm sorry, I'm gonna guess he took you because of your life essence."

"my essence?" Lucia repeated.

"I research on humanity's evil side, I tested it unto myself" Jekyll buried himself on his knees "I made a serum to mask myself to become evil, the serum worked however..." he paused "my body is starting to urge to take the serum, then started to have series of ending up in a strane place."

"that is when Edward Hyde was born, the creature who has no compassionate and remorse" his eyes became teary "everything went hell, however my body is dying in old age. Hyde seeks to find immortality then continue the experiments for the manifestation of evil."

"that's terrible" Lucia replied feeling sorrowful.

"yes and that's why..." Jekyll face Lucia straight in the eye "I need you to kill me."

"what?!" Lucia exclaimed.

"please I beg of you, if this continue many will die!" Jekyll beg on his knees "I don't care if I go to hell, I've already commited so many. Please before Hyde comes back!"

Lucia refuses for a while "but... isn't there any other way?" she asked.

"I have live passed my limit, it's fine" Jekyll said smiling "I want this to be my last, immortality is lonely. But death is eternal peace..."

Lucia felt sorrow as she raise her hand "I won't make it painful for you" she said her eyes saddens.

"thank you- GUH!!" Jekyll felt in pain as he drop his body on the street.

"hey?! What's wrong?!" Lucia panicked.

Jekyll raise his left hand "Please end this! He's coming back..!" he groans then started to chuckle "go to sleep Henry... ehehe... I'll take this girl's essence then we'll both be immortal" he sneered.

Lucia's hand burst into blood red flames then throw it towards Hyde "AAARGH...!!" Hyde screams in pain "IT BURNS...!!" he tried rolling down but the flames doesn't die down.

"Those flames won't die unless the evil in you dies!" Lucia said raising her hand still bursting in blood red flames.

The screams of pain echo through out the alley the approaching flock of bats and a wolf the other approaching hunters. Lucia just stood there the blood red flames still on her hand her wolf ears and tail are shown her eyes glowing red in deep serious expression.

Meanwhile

"I found the bag Oliver!" Isabelle show the bag to her brother. Oliver looked at his blonde sister "good, now free the souls from their seal" he ordered.

Isabelle drop all the vials while Oliver chant latin prayers, then smash the vials open. White light began to glow out from the broken glass voices laughing and gigling, they're finally free from their captivation.

The same time.

Lucia approach the dying flame and all that's left was a humanoid glowing light "can you hear me?" she asked "can you hear me Dr. Jekyll?" she repeated.

The humanoid light lower showing Henry Jekyll's soul "how come I didn't feel any pain from the burns?" he asked. Lucia smiled "like I said I won't make it painful for you" she reminded then show the same blood red flames "these flames I had burn those who are evil it's a painful way to die, however you had a good soul you won't feel the pain."

Jekyll smiled "thank you" he bowed "I want to know your name before I go" he said.

"It's Lucia" she introduce herself looking straight "Lucia Gabriel Tepes."

"Tepes you say?" Jekyll became surprised "ehehe, I remember I used to read a lot about history. Vlad Dracula Tepes and Raphael Dracula Tepes were such great leaders..." he smiled "you're their descendants, I'll tell them about you if I meet them" his eyes smiled one last time as he started glow even brighter then float away towards the night sky.

Lucia's eyes focused on the glowing light one dropped as she caught it with her left palm "you may now seek your eternity" she smiled as the light faded away. "!" Lucia's senses sharpen everything went slow she a step aside then jump into then morph into wolf form.

*BANG! BANG! BANG!*

*GROWL*

It was Blaise and Liam who finally caught up. "what is that thing?!" Blaise's eyes widen seeing a large, Liam saw such large red aura coming out from the growling wolf as he ready his scythe. The wolf, Lucia quickly dodge back towards the shadows as soon as they followed it on the shadows they hit against the dead end and the wolf is knowhere to be seen.

"Dammit!" Blaise sat down. Liam lower his scythe "whatever that creature is it somehow did the job before us, we must report back to Father" he said then scan the area.

"darn it! That wolf is better than us" Blaise pulled his tantrums. Liam just stared of the shadows still deep thoughts about the black wolf.

Lucia kept running and jumping on every roof then she saw a flock of bats she quickly jump down seeing Lucas in wolf form morphing back and Gabriel forming back then ran to Lucia to hug her tight.

"I'm gonna keep a closer eye on you from now on" Lucas caress his grand daugther's hair. "I'm fine Gramps" Lucia hugged them. Gabriel kissed his daugther's forehead "I don't know what to do if I were to lose you" he cried. Lucia smiled and just enjoy the moment.

The sun has finally rise Liam seemed to still search for Lucia after the incident he came back to the same hotel where Lucia's Father and Grandfather stays, but when he got there he saw Lucia and her family helping pack up a few things at the carriage.

"Lucia!" Liam quickly ran to her. Lucia turn towards the one who called her her eyes widen seeing a black tranch coat, black hair and look tired "Liam..." Lucia stops. Liam just stood a few steps away "you're... you're ok..." he mumbled.

Lucia felt surprised for a bit then she chuckled "fufu~ I can handle myself just fine, Liam" she smiled "back then I was able to escape" she excuse. Liam let out a sigh of relief "I'm relief you're safe, I was going to rescue you. I even made a word to your family" he said.

"ehe, I guess my luck is just that high" Lucia said "but even so, I'm glad you tried."

Liam saw the carriage is already packed he look back towards the girl "so you're leaving already?" he asked. "we were suppose to leave yesterday, but you know what happened" Lucia explained she lower her lashes "I have to leave Paris, my village is upholding a festivity soon and I had to be there to help."

"I understand..." Liam scratch his nape "before you go I just wanted to say-"

"Who the hell are you?!" Gabriel suddenly spook between the two with glaring eyes. "UWAH..?!" Liam got spooked out taking a few steps away. Lucas spook out from the side "hey your that boy last night, I'll thank you for your effort" he gave thanks "Lucia came back alive, that is enough for us."

"Glad to help, you have such a strong and independable Grand daugther" Liam complimented abot Lucia. "HAHA! That's the first time I heard that" Lucas smiled "a lot of men in our village tried to sway my Grand Daugther's feet, but ended up being shot down" he added up.

*SMACK*

"You didn't have to tell everything to him Old Man!" Lucia's face became expressionless and show signs of a nerve on her head. "come on Lucia, I don't wanna make your Mother worried" Gabriel called not caring about Liam. Lucas and Lucia hop on the carriage Liam smiled "I hope we meet again for a latte" he said, "ehehe, I hope so" Lucia chuckled but deep in her thoughts praying "I hope not."

As the carriage starts they wave each others hands as the carriage disappears from Liam's sight. As the carriage pass by towards the exit of the city Albert Van Helsing happen to pass by as soon as he glance at the carriage he saw a familiar face, his eyes widen as he stop on his tracks then grin "Gabriel."
