That Glow

Ethan

I leaned against my white Ford Ranger as I waited for the Demyan to climb down the jet's stairs. I was dressed in black jeans, a blue short sleeve button up shirt and white sneakers with a cap on with sunglasses covering my eyes since the sun was brutal today.

I checked my watch wondering why it was taking Demyan so long to climb down the stairs. When a figure finally did stand in the doorway, it took me a second to recognise him. My heart fell that I had to take off my sunglasses and blink twice to make sure I was not mistaken.

The vibrant golden skin boy I saw almost two weeks ago was not the one standing at the top of stairs looking so frail, it looked like he would be blown by the wind if it was harsh enough. The large grey shirt on his body made his body look thinner than the lean strong body I knew, he wore black shorts with white sneakers.
