Oh Shut Up

Demyan

I lifted my head in exhaustion as I laid on the large couch as the door of my apartment opened. My parents had left an hour ago leaving my head spinning with their incredibly intense lecture on why I had to carry our family pride high. Only if they knew Samuel was a tough nut to crack.

Yes, Samuel and I had met on multiple occasions but that did not mean I had wormed into his heart any better each time. Nika at least always gave me a warm hug and encouraging words whilst her father was incredibly suspicious of me. At first I would wantonly defend myself but I was currently having an affair against his pregnant daughter so I did not believe I deserved much brownie points.

Malia walked into the living room looking like the picture of exhaustion. I extended my arms out to her to give her a hug but she held up her hand and let out a heavy sigh, "I smell like a hospital and sheer depression. I'm going to take a shower."
