I Would Have

Demyan

When I got upstairs to Ethan's bedroom which used to be our bedroom once upon a time it felt like a wave of nostalgia had hit me. I had to balance myself on the door frame as I looked into the room. The only thing that had changed was the fact the beige Egyptian cotton sheets that once decorated our bed were now covered in black silk sheets.

Ethan had always loved silk bed sheets whilst I had my reservations, at least he had finally gotten that. A small smile played on my lips as I saw the grey, black with hints of cream white persian rug we had fought over that was laid out in front of the fireplace. He saw no use in the rug whilst I felt it would make the room feel so much warmer.
