Don't Demyan

Demyan

"Demyan! Demyan!" Vasilisa threw herself into my room as she practically swung with the door. She looked frantic and tears ran down her face when she saw me as I sat on the bed staring into empty space. She threw herself on my bed and gathered me in my arms. "I'm here now.'

She cradled my head tightly to her chest as I held onto her. She cried for me, I cried for myself and somehow cried for her. She must have known everything by now and it somehow made me feel smaller because she knew how easily Ethan was willing to toss me away if I did not follow his rules.

"Don't Demyan," her voice was husky as she held either side of my face and wiped away my tears, "Don't feel bad for someone who did not appreciate you. I wish I could kill him for making you feel like you were never good enough. You're perfect. You're my twin. We shared the same heart once upon a time and I won't allow anyone to break ours."
