373 Big Boned

When I woke up at 5am sharp, Belli slept next to me like a starfish. I had felt her roll off me last night then slightly crawl before protectively sleeping to my side. Her round stomach moved with each other of her breaths and her tiny fists clenched before her legs kicked out. She must have been dreaming something up. 

I was not even sure if babies dreamt at a year and a few weeks but she was surely getting a head start to her peers. I almost felt bad for having to disrupt her as I carefully lifted her from the bed and carried her against my chest. 

She barely seemed affected as she cuddled to my chest instead and already tried to grab a tiny fistful of my chest hair. I replaced it with a blanket instead then gently lowered her into her crib. Once I made sure she was comfortable I went to my office to check my agenda for the day.
