Por's POV

Sir Xander give me a chance to take a rest for a day because he was frightened that my flu might come back. Still, I was wondering if Ezekiel is the one who arrived that day. I could not make a mistake because Sir Xander is the one who I saw in front of my door, not Ezekiel.

Calling Blake

"Hello?" I answered

"Por! I need your help ASAP!" I removed my phone onto my ears cuz' he's shouting over the phone and clicked the loudspeaker button.

"Okay, Blake but calm down and take a deep breath" then I heard his breath in the other line.

"I need you later to be my companion in our business gathering you know that I get bored easily. Please Por~" he pleads.

"Okay, you know that you are my best friend; I can't reject you ~," I said to him.

"Well, I'll pick you up at 6:30 pm. See you! Thank you so much! You are the best!" then he ended the call.

For the party, I'm wearing a formal black dress with a big pleated skirt pattern and wide v-neck long sleeve

top and I paired with peep-toe stilettos.

"How long will it take you! We'll be going to be late" Blake said from the back door of my room.

"Wait!" and sprayed perfume all over my body.

When I opened the door, Blake stared at me without blinking and slowly drops his mouth. I waved at him and suddenly shook his head.

"Yah I know it didn't suit me well," I said.

"No! You look stunning, let's go! We're late" then anchored his arm towards me.

Finally, we're here at the party, and Blake is accomodating their business partners. I was alone here sitting and waiting for him; therefore, I started drinking my cocktail. Suddenly a man caught our attention by doing his spoon hitting against his glass.

"Attention everyone! Let's hold our glasses and have a toss for Mr Florentino and Mr Zamora they donated a big sum of money for a charity" when I heard Sir Xander's surname I just swallowed cuz' I'm not aware that he's around.

And the spotlight pointed in their direction; I was more surprised because Mr Florentino happens to be Ezekiel. Suddenly I felt a tingling sensation in my fingers, and my head was pounding like a heartbeat after the tossing, they returned to their errands. I drink my cocktail straight because of the tension I had.

I noticed Blake approaching me in the distance and suddenly comes towards me.

"Sorry Por, I need to accommodate those people. Are you getting bored?" He apologized

"I'm okay, don't worry about me" and I smiled.

We heard someone calling out his name "Wait for a sec, I'll be back" I nodded.

Of a sudden, someone grabs my wrist, causing me to raise my head to see who it was. Using his strength, he drags me away at the venue. Then took me outside of the hotel where no one is in here. He harshly released my hand, causing me to hold my wrist and was severely hurt.

"I told you to rest! Why did you go here with him?!" he said in an annoying tone.

To calm me down, I took a long breath coz' I can't stand his attitude earlier.

"That's my best friend, so I can't refuse" I replied calmly.

I felt my heartbeat stops for a second when he suddenly punched the wall because I thought he was going to hurt me, and it was a relief. His glance we're burning fire. Then he slammed his self into the cement, and I reach his bleeding hand.

"Why are you so unfair? When I ask you for such a favour, you didn't give me a chance? What's the big deal Por? I wanna be a part of your life" suddenly I felt guilty and wondered if I was an awful person?

"Sorry," I said then suddenly he hugged me.

"Just said yes and you'll not gonna regret it" I removed his hug then cuffs his cheeks.

"I know you're sincere, but I'm not ready yet", and I slowly removed my hands from his cheeks.

I was about to stand when he held my hand he was looking at my wrist, which was red due to what happened earlier.

"I'm sorry that I hurt you," he said with remorse.

"I'm fine, let's go inside" I invited him.

As we walked to the venue, we met Ezekiel our eyes met.

"Hi" he greeted me.

"H-hi?" I said awkwardly, and Xander holds my hand the reason why I looked at him.

"Come on, let's go inside" I was about to walk when Ezekiel blocked our way.

"Can we talk?" Ezekiel asked.

"I'm okay you can go first," I said to Xander, and he let go of my hand.

"Come, let's take a fresh air" he invited me.

As we're walking in the garden, no one is breaking the silence we're just cherishing the moment. When we were tired of walking, we sat in the fountain.

"You're stunning with that dress" he compliment.

I felt the heat on my cheek. "T-thank you" I stammered.

He put my hair behind my ears and touched a part of my cheek when Ezekiel looked at me; it was my breath taken away from me like I was floating into the air. Then he kissed me passionately. The water that flows in the fountain served as music to our ears. Then the moonlight witnessed our burning emotions.

Every time he kissed me, it felt like the world stopped, leaving just the two of us to wander the earth. Every time he held my face between his hands; it felt like he was holding me for eternity. Then he grabbed my back, and my heartbeat beats fast even more suddenly I felt my tears drip, and when our lips parted from each other, he hugged me tightly.

"I love you so much, and I will protect you until the last breath I promise," he said.

At this moment, my feelings for him deepen even more. I think this is what falling in love was like, and now I can't bear to lose it - lose this thing that makes me feel so complete.
