The Sea Monsters

People always fear sea life. They can't explain it, but having to share the sea with them wasn't exactly human-like.What made humans the greedy intelligent beings they are was none other than their love for conquest, an cannibalistic drive that made them evolve to be stamina-beasts, for they can't be outrun even by horses, made them use weapons even Yokai could never dream of like nuclear bombs, but never could they explore the water underneath to its totality. Something about that humbled them. They couldn't fight a sea animal unless it was near the surface, and for the lunatics who tried to go down, nothing but death awaited them.This made the primordial Yokai Umi, the sea Yokai, one of the strongest creatures, one that even rivals me, the eternal one.Of course, jealousy wasn't something I felt, but I wanted to make sure he didn't go overboard by driving humans into extinction, so we made the following rules: never let the true ones out of their oceanic cage.Who are the true ones? Well, they are the equivalent of mafia bosses in the human world. They consist of the "First Shark", "The Kraken" and "The never-ending whale".Each of these monsters has enough strength to destroy a continent if ever left to their means. Thankfully Umi chained them to the core of the ocean.
