Chapter 28: Fun with friends

Rahul was tearing through the road with a speed of hundred and eighty miles per hour on his Red Luxury Sedan as he was driving the car and at the back seat Bharat and Gaurav were seated with an alarmed expression as they were on their way to a nightclub.

Gaurav said with a panicky expression: "Rahul, don't you think we are speeding up too much? It seems a bit unsafe. Can you slow down a bit?"

Bharat also said: "Yes Rahul I think we should slow down and be in the speed limit since we would not like any accidents to happen."

Rahul said: "Guys you people worry too much nothing will happen. I know we have been friends since today only, however believe me I have been trained in this and also been certified by a reputed motor training institute and also certified from a good motor academic."

Bharat said: "Even if you are trained and have the confidence of not making any mistakes we still have to be careful because accidents can happen not only due to your mistakes but it can also happen due to the person who will be in front of you so not only you have to make sure you do not make any mistakes however if the person in front you makes a mistake you have to rectify that also but if you are also in high speed then you will not have any chance of doing that."

Gaurav said: "Yes Bharat is saying correctly we should not drive so rashly"

Gaurav who knew Rahul very well was aware of his attitude as being only child of a rich and influential Businessman Rahul had everything so naturally he was a bit arrogant however now his attitude towards Bharat seemed to change so he was a bit surprised by this nonetheless the other party had taken the initiative to invite them on this night out and extended the hand of friendship so naturally he will not decline this since it is always good to have more friends than enemies in this world.

For Bharat the situation was turning in his favor for the first time after such a long time. Since the time his childhood friends Abhimanyu, Karthik, Aarav and Pallavi left him he never had anyone by his side so it seemed like the world was against him but now that he got new friends he would not like to let this opportunity go so even though he would have liked to stay in school to watch the sports meet competition he could not refuse his friends on their request to go for a night out.

Rahul who was a rival of these two before today and had tried to scheme against Bharat previously to get him out of the college had recognized his talent and felt guilty so he wanted to become good friends with Bharat and Gaurav so he had taken them out tonight to celebrate Bharat's victory to make up for the past misunderstanding. So he wanted to show off his wealth and lavish lifestyle to his two new friends to give a good impression of himself.

So Rahul took Bharat and Gaurav on his new Red Luxury Sedan to a nightclub to enjoy and to celebrate their success because all three had won medals in this sports meet competition tonight.

Rahul said: "Okay guys I am reducing the speed limit and following the traffic rules. I am also happy and also our destination is around the corner in just five more minutes and we will reach it."

By eleven pm at night they reached the night club and Rahul guided them in as it seemed like he was already familiar with this place even the security personnel did not stop them.

Rahul said: "Guys let's go in since you are with me you will get the free pass in this club because I have got membership here so let's enjoy."

Rahul took them to an empty table to sit together and said: "Guys today we have contributed so much to our school. Bharat has won the Gold medal in Sprint competition, Gaurav has won the Gold medal in the swimming competition and I have also won a bronze medal which is also a contribution to our college so a celebration is a must."

The atmosphere of the night club was very lively at that point of time. There was a bar where all kinds of alcoholic and even non alcoholic beverages were available, a dance floor and DJ as well and on the dance floor there were various couples who were grooving on the music beats and the dining area.

Rahul wanted to treat them with the best delicacies so he ordered the food and the best wine.

Rahul said: "Guys please, what would you like to order? We have all kinds of hard drinks here."

Bharat on the other hand have never visited a night club before since previously he was in a small town where there were no night clubs available so this was the first time for him as he was observing his surroundings when Rahul asked him to order for the drinks however Bharat had never consumed Alcohol before so he denied without any hesitations: "no thanks I do not consume alcohol."

Rahul said: "Come on Bharat this is our celebration time and how can we celebrate if you do not have any hard drinks if only myself and Gaurav have hard drinks then what you will have."

Gaurav said: "Yes Bharat, even if it is your first time, you still should try it. The wine here is the best."

Bharat said firmly: "No guys I do not drink and since you guys are my friend I would recommend you not to drink because there are so many bad effects of alcohol in our body. Due to Alcohol our human body has to go through numerous diseases. Alcohol not only damages our vital organs such as heart and liver but it also causes High Blood Pressure, stroke, digestive problems, and cancer. Apart from the health issues which a person faces due to the alcohol consumption it also led to an increase in violence. Our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi who was a preacher of non-violence always advised us to ban Alcohol in our cities because drinking Alcohol was considered a sin by Mahatma Gandhi. So if you follow Mahatma Gandhi then you should never drink."
