Chapter 47

A younger doppelganger? Adam brushed aside the thought as he answered. “Yeah, I’m sure. Better yet, I need a glass of water, so let’s move to their bigger table.” 4

Eli elbowed Sully once Eli saw that Josh was headed over with Adam in tow.

“Hey, guys.” Josh’s voice strained as if struggling to contain his excitement as he pointed at Adam. “This is Adam, he’s from the US, too, and studying here.”

Standing side-by-side, Adam and Josh’s resemblance to each other stood out. Both had dark brown hair, although Adam’s had some gray on the sides of his. Josh stood an inch taller than Adam but both had the same nose and jaw line. If their backs were turned, it would’ve been hard to pick them out other than Josh wore his hair long, while Adam kept the hair off his ears.

After his perfunctory hello to Sully, Adam stared at Eli as they shook hands.

“Yeah, you were standing by the counter, earlier. Right?” Eli wanted to act as nonchalant as possible.
