Magic and Making A Base Part Three

"So far I have found a bunch of berries." Yuki mumbled as she looked at her shirt now turned basket with a smile. Although she was a bit worried about the description.

[A fruit easy on the digestive system. May clean out one's body.]

"I guess I will need to make a bathroom first… Which means I will need more of those bamboo looking things. Now that I think about it I never did inspect them did I?" Yuki hurried back to her new stone house and made a bowl out of stone to place her berries in. Although she was hungry she had to make sure she had a place she could go to the bathroom without much worry of being seen.

To do this she used her build spell on the side of her stone house extending it outwards by 2 meters and making it 2 meters wide and tall as well. She then used her dig spell from the outside to make an opening so she could then create an opening leading into the stone house. After which she sealed the opening coming from the outside before continuing to work on the inside. She kept the walls half a meter thick and created a pit going ten meters deep into the ground. She then used her build spell again to create a bench before finally making a hole in it. She figured she could make a hole in the bench when she had to go and then cover it up when it was not in use. But since it was freshly made she made a hole just in case she was going to need it later after eating these berries.

With her bathroom set, she went to work creating a spot for a bed and also created an area for a bath. With what little light she had left she ran down to get more of the bamboo looking plant which she came to find out was called...

This time though she cut down almost all of it and stored it in her inventory which made her wonder why she even carried the first batch back to her stone house in the first place. With her dry grass and Cat Weed, she went to work creating a door for her bathroom. She had already sealed up the front entrance since the sun was setting and she did not want any wild animals to come in and disturb her. "Luckily I cut a lot of grass or I might have been stuck sleeping on a hard surface..."

After everything was done and knowing no one could peek in on her, Yuki stripped down to her birthday suit and filled her bath with water before using a fireball to heat it up. She slipped down into the first hot bath that she has had in a while and let out a sigh. "Sadly I have no soap or anything but at least soaking feels good."

Yuki's mind began to drift and thoughts of both Suzu and her mother began to fill her mind. She pulled her knees to her chin as tears began to roll down her cheeks. "Suzu, Mom… I miss you both so much..."

The idea of being alone was finally starting to set in after everything that had happened. Although she may be able to live fine on her own. It was still a very lonely life. She missed her mother giving her a kiss and hug every morning and the wonderful breakfasts that she made. She missed having Suzu cling to her like a koala and even their little ritual of where she would give Suzu a good morning kiss. She missed it all. And now… She was the only one left…

Yuki cried for a while before wiping her eyes and dunking her head under the water. She washed her hair and finally got out of the bath. She then took her dirty clothes and dropped them into the water to soak overnight. She wrapped her arms around her feeling slightly cold as she walked over to her bed. "I guess I can make a fire in the middle of the room with the Cat Weed..."

She took some out and cut it up into small sections before piling it up into the center of the room. She then used a fireball to light it. Luckily a fireball did not need to be thrown. As long as she did not imagine the fireball shooting forward she could keep it hovered just above her hand. This was useful since she was able to use it for things like this. With the hole in the ceiling, the smoke rose to the only place it could escape allowing Yuki to have a fire inside without issue. She used the fire to dry off and warm up a bit before finally eating the berries. The first one she put in her mouth tasted like heaven. It instantly brightened up her gloomy mood. The taste was like a cross of a strawberry and a banana which was a flavor she liked very much. It was slightly tart and not too sweet.

Yuki was smart. She remembered what Kenjiro said when eating on an empty stomach. He told her to eat slowly and not to stuff herself or it may make her sick. So she was doing just that, she savored every bite and after about a handful of berries, she stopped eating. With a yawn, Yuki got up and put her berries away.

She walked over to her grassy bed and laid down on it. It was a little uncomfortable due to it not being much padding but it was enough to get her through the night. Due to her long day, Yuki quickly fell asleep.

"Yuki!" Yuki heard her name being called. She looked around to find herself back in a large white space. But in this white space standing no more than a few centimeters from her was Suzu.

Tears began to well up as she jumped on Suzu and hugged her tightly. "Suzu!"

"Hehe… Yuki is daring!" Suzu said as her hands gripped Yuki's butt.

"Ahh!" Yuki only now realized that she was stark naked, making her blush as she pushed away from Suzu and tried to cover up.

"Suzu… Umm, where are we?" Yuki asked, calming down a bit.

"Mmm… I am not sure. I found myself here when I woke up. There is nothing to do here. It is all just white." Suzu said with a frown. "But I am glad I can see you, Yuki!"

"Mmm… Suzu I missed you so much!" Yuki felt this was probably a dream. But even if that was the case, Yuki wanted to speak to Suzu as much as possible.

"Oh? Yuki misses me huh? Then do you miss me enough to kiss me!?" Suzu said, throwing her arms around Yuki's neck.

Yuki blushed and nodded her head. "Mmm… If this is what Suzu wants I do not mind."

Yuki leaned down and pushed her lips against Suzu's. Suzu's eyes opened wide in surprise but slowly closed as the two kissed. Yuki felt the sensation of Suzu's lips and remembered all the times she had kissed her before and began to tear up. She realized now how right it felt to kiss Suzu.

Suzu got frisky and nibbled on Yuki's lips causing Yuki to smile. Their lips parted and Yuki rested her forehead on Suzu's with tears still running down her cheek. "Suzu… I know it's late and I know I should have noticed way sooner. But I now know that I was in love with you. It was not until I lost you that I realized how much I wanted you by my side. But now it is too late. I know there is no way for me to bring you back to life but I will make sure I live a life that you will be proud of. And I hope I can still continue to meet you in my dreams like this. Just being able to talk to you, hug you, and kiss you brings warmth to my heart. I miss you so much..."

Tears flooded from Yuki's eyes as she pushed her lips onto Suzu's once more, not giving Suzu a chance to reply. Their lips parted and their kiss became more passionate. This was a lover's kiss. Once their kiss finally broke again. Yuki hugged Suzu tightly and Suzu hugged her back just as tight. "Yuki, no matter where you are, just live a life that you want. I will always be cheering you on. I love you Yuki and always will..."

Suzu pushed Yuki away and her warm, loving smile, filled Yuki's eyes as Suzu gradually began to disappear. Yuki reached out with her hand trying to grab Suzu but her hand hit nothing but air.

"Suzu no! Not again!" Yuki, eyes popped open and she sat up. "Suzu… A dream..." Yuki wiped her eyes and felt a grumble in her stomach. "Uhg."

She stood up and felt her thigh was sticky when she looked down, her face blushed when she realized why. "Baka Suzu! Baka Suzu! Baka!" Yuki yelled out at the top of her lungs. Before slumping down to the floor with tears in her eyes. "Why did you have to leave me alone..."

Another grumble came from her stomach causing Yuki to need to run to the bathroom. When Yuki finished doing her business, she rinsed herself with her water magic. When she exited the bathroom she was surprised when she realized the fire was still going. She peaked up through the hole in the ceiling and saw that it was still dark out. She had no idea how long she had slept for but she could only guess it was a few hours. She went back to her bed and laid her head down and looked up at the grey stone ceiling.

"I need to pull myself together. I know Suzu would not want me to be so depressed all the time. I will try to sleep some more..." Yuki closed her eyes. She hoped she might have another dream about Suzu but no dream came not that she could remember anyway.

The next day Yuki did not leave her house since she still had no clothes to wear. She went to work washing her clothes, wrung them out, and then laid them by the fire to dry off. They were not the cleanest looking clothes in the world but at the very least they were cleaner than before. After a few hours, her clothes finally dried allowing her to finally venture back outside. She opened the entrance she had sealed off and let the light of the new day shine down on to her face. But she only got about five steps outside when she was met with an object lying outside her stone house. "Ahhh!"
