New Dance Partner

Everyone had a shocked expression on their faces except for Ling Yao and Xu Si Cheng.

They both had an expression no one could read but they were calm.

They both stared at each other and Cheng smirked at her but Ling Yao instead glanced at Lucy Kim- the girl that was glaring at her a few minutes ago and Ling Yao gave her a smirk to make her annoyed.

Lucy had always felt that she was the perfect partner for Cheng and only she had the right to be by his side. And after seeing the man she wanted pull another girl to sit with him made her so much jealous and angry.

But her anger intensified when she heard their dance teacher pair the man she loved with another freaking girl.

Lucy came up with a stupid idea and announced to everyone she wanted to have a little dance competition between her and Ling Yao to determine who would be Xu Si Cheng's partner. Ling Yao didn't protest against this, she allowed Lucy pick the song she wanted and she picked one of her favorite songs. They were to dance to a song by Stray Kids.

This would be easy for Ling Yao because she had already performed to the song before in high school and the dance steps she used were not just any steps but steps that would even be hard for a pro to master in weeks and she got them within three days.

And then the dance off began, they both danced like pros but and Mr Gu was shocked to see Ling Yao dance so well.

Her steps were just so amazing the way she moved her body was also astounding. Seeing this made him think if she would be willing to play the role of female lead in the short play the school organized and would be performed six weeks from now.

He really wanted her to play the role because her figure would make the relationship between the male lead and the female lead look cuter and she looked like she had good acting skills but as a teacher he had to follow the rules, he must pick the male lead and female lead by auditioning everyone interested from dance class, who knows there might be someone better than her in their class. But he still prayed she gets the role.

Lucy danced with all her energy but Ling Yao didn't sweat over it. She just danced to the song casually while Lucy looked like she couldn't keep up with Ling Yao and she would stop anytime soon.

Lucy ended up falling because she couldn't keep up with Ling Yao as she was trying to copy her dance steps but couldn't do it right which gave Ling Yao the upper hand and she won.

Everyone went over to congratulate her while the jealous once looked at her with disgust but Ling Yao didn't care, she passed the little crowd around her and went over to the left side of the Studio to get a bottle of water.

"Here you go" Xu Si spoke from behind her handing out a bottle of water for her to take but she didn't take it as she was busy staring at him. They were actually standing a bit too close to each other but there was still a little space between them. Still, if one of them moves just a step closer they'd look like they want to kiss themselves.

"Brother Cheng, can I have that water I'm exhausted thanks to this rat over here" Lucy said the while giving Ling Yao a disdain look with a freakish smile on her face.

Lucy snatches the water from Xu Si Cheng and drank it before Ling Yao could collect it.

But what Ling Yao did next made her angry.

Ling Yao drank directly from Cheng's own bottle, there were two bottles in his hand one for Yao Yao and one for himself. He had already drank from his own bottle and now Ling Yao also drank from it.

Yet, while all these were happening Xu Si Cheng didn't say a word and just looked at Yao Yao and was surprised when she took from his water.

He was surprised because never shares any of his things with anyone not until this girl took his water with courage.

Lucy was pissed off and she just walked away from them with an angry expression plastered to her face. Meanwhile, Ling Yao smiled but it was a kind of smile to mock Lucy and Cheng wondered if this was how she's been cold since only God knows?

After the dance off, they started their exercises as they usually do but Lucy and Ling Yao didn't join them as they already exercised their body.

After the exercises they were all taught new dance moves and then they were informed about a program to celebrate the institution's birthday. It'd be clocking three years and they wanted to give a little performance for the audience.

Celebrities would come to watch people act and sing and dance. Mr Gu gave them all the information they needed. By July they should have rehearsed and they should be perfect in their drama presentation and whatever they'd be performing on the d-day.

"The best male and female dancers will be the one to act out the drama with the role of male lead and female lead" everyone looked at Ling Yao when they heard this because even though she was new, she still managed to impress everyone with her moves.

To them she seemed like she was the best female dancer already.

Lucy had a look of fear on her face because in just one day she felt like she was already losing Xu Si Cheng. She has done everything she possibly could to get close to him but nothing seemed to work except for one.

She was the best female dancer and then she was paired with the best male dancer every semester not until a rat took her place. She couldn't believe she was trying to take her place.

"She must go"

After the dance classes were over Ling Yao just went back to their lecture room and she just sat there playing with a Rubix's cube. The class room was quiet but it didn't bother Ling Yao, she thought they may have gone to another class.

"What are you doing here?" Someone with a familiar voice spoke.

'How did I not know when he entered'. She was so busy with the Rubix's cube she didn't know someone entered the class but still wondered why she didn't feel his presence since she never lets her guard down.

She looked at him with a blank expression and replied plainly "It's not your business?"

They both seemed like they weren't getting along well but Cheng actually wanted to make it work. He wanted them to be closer for a reason only he knows.

"Won't you observe your break"

"I'm not hungry" she replied with an expressionless face.

Cheng brought out something from his bag and she looked at him.

He brought out a Ferrero Rocher Chocolate, the one with six pieces and 3 snickers and 2 mini Toblerone.

He handed her the chocolates and Ling Yao collected it and opened one snickers without asking if it was for her or not. She loved chocolate a lot, there one time she had a promotional exam in high school and she read for two days without eating, she only ate chocolate as she was reading. She had her own mini fridge back in India where she keeps her chocolate.

"Where did you get these chocolates from, is there a store nearby?" Ling Yao asked Cheng with the intention of getting more sweets but Cheng's reply earned a frown from Ling Yao.

"The ladies from the office and school gave it to me" he looked at her as he said this

"I still have more if you want them, I don't eat them anyways" he continued and Ling Yao stopped him.

"You don't eat sweets, why?"

"I don't like them" he replied truthfully.

"Have you tried them?" He shook his head to tell her it's was a no for him.

Then she brought out something from her bag. It was a plastic box with chocolate balls.

Her mum packed it for her when she was coming to Korea and Ling Yao just ate a little from it and kept the rest in a refrigerator. She brought out one and placed it before Cheng's mouth for him for him eat it.

"Don't worry it's not poisonous. It's my mum's recipe, she made it herself and packed it for me when i was coming here".

Cheng still didn't collect it and Ling Yao retracted her hand to eat it instead but before she could put it in her mouth, he took the hand holding the chocolate ball and he ate the chocolate directly from her hand.

"It's not bad" he said to her while looking into her eyes.
