Reviews of Eternal Sacred King

I found this book randomly on the trial reads. it is so good. I barely read much into it and was all ready hooked. i ended up staying up late reading and falling asleep with my cell phone from reading it. I honestly hope that they accept this book fully. I absolutely love it and wanting to know what all happens.

This chinese novel stands out among all the generic trash that are considered good these days. I dont know if people's tastes have been diluted too much due to the trashy nature of chinese novels or they were just that miserable to begin with. Anyway, about it novel... This novel has truly great characters. None of them are left behind as loose ends, the mc isnt that dense and he doesnt just ignore others feelings for him. Although harems sound appealing they are not really practical in the modern age. That said im truly happy that this guy isnt just another cliche mc with heavenly beauties falling on his lap every few chapters. Also the lifes and deaths of the people close to mc are depicted beautifully, especially the deaths. I've never felt this much emotion from a chinese novel in a long time. There is also this eerie sense of suspense and mystery surrounding the characters and the world for the first 1000 chapters or so. It felt really good when all of those linked up to give a proper end instead of just attributing it to some random stuff like heavenly secrets or so. The daos are also clearly defined and the cultivation system is really good. MC doesnt really have much of an advantage when compared to others. Plot armour doesnt protect him all the time and he also has his ups and downs in life. There are a lot of characters in this novel but they are all properly developed. They all have their own stories and are not just sidekicks of the MC. The only problem i have with this novel is that its just a constant pursuit of a woman. I need to see the end of this somewhere, and ill really be disappointed if the novel ends with him just finding his woman. Atleast i want to see them have a happy life together. I understand that cultivation novels are supposed to be an eternal pursuit of godhood or glory they should atleast have these moments of peace and happiness. It makes the characters look more human and gives more depth to them. I have found other faults with this novel but they are not to the point where they have to be addressed and corrected. Some of these just make the story what it is. Anyway i had fun reading this and i hope they can translate faster.

feels like a novel written pre-2010. feels so out of place and full of cliches in just the first few chapters. couldn't continue reading till the end of first volume.

Same old cliche Chinese novel with op mc, arrogant young masters, ice cold beauty, stupid headstrong mc with a cheat gained from saving a damsel. Don't waste your time. (I've read 180 chapters)

As many have already said... It has a lot of potential. Many things are done well or decent enough. The main character is a bit more interesting than other novels I've read, but the story is very slow. Some of the world building is borderline punishment. At times it feels as if the author is forcing an encyclopedia down your throat and robbing you of potentially fun chapters. The releases are also too slow for the often time slow pace. Agreed that three should probably be the default per day. Seriously though, two pages of having the reason why someone uses their power and the comparison of their power to other powers and how far from the earth and heaven the power is every like six to ten chapters is out of hand. Overall, still enjoy the novel though.

Weak to strong is best story! ML is a strong king! Keep write more stories. I like to read more of them. ML, you must be powerful emperor or a god!

A boring and classic chinese story...well you know the type that composed 50% of webnovel's translations. So no I won't even try to read it and yes I am aware that it is unjust to bote a story without reading it but so what?

I fell in love with this story. I started reading this story because it is my kind of genre. But it kept me reading until the last updated chapter because I fell in love with it. Fantastic story line, good characters great flow in the story line. Hopefully the author will keep up the story. .....patiently waiting for the continuation of the novel.

The novel is solid so far, but it is really let down by lackluster translation quality, i have read to chapter 60 not ch6 like it says, and there is just so much awkward or flat out broken English sentences.

this is one of those works that author decided mc was too cool so why not focus more on mc? or make more of mc and so mc got 3 'true body' and lets just say that it's a good thing this novel does not have any meaningful romance LoL this novel is a endless 'living the murder hobo life' mumbling against heaven/fate, check wiki true body section and you will get what mess you getting into.

too much unnecessary conflicts encounter everytime MC' is roams the street (mostly when he's weak). give a break for a guy. every encounter with some guy on street he gets into a fight and the otherwise almost always designed as petty & close-minded characters. this creates too much negativity in character & works designs. even after reading more than 2000 chapters it's just good enough because there's no other good novel to read.
