After Atushi dumped her, she found herself dating random guys. But amongst the random ones she dated. She found herself getting involved with the most unexpected person. 

Nagawa Shuusuke, 

 Futaba notices that everything changes and nothing changes at all. They may not have been in a relationship, but they weren't friends either. So when he leaves, she doesn't know what to feel.

Futaba starts her international modelling career and Shuusuke goes off to university. They keep in touch, loosely. Futaba calls Shuusuke twice a week, Ran, three and her cousin Arashi none. She does send him an email from time to time, but mostly, they communicate through others. That works fine for both of them. They weren't close cousins.
