Severis Island was an oddity.
It was just outside the highly desirable supreme island lands as well as larger islands that were dense in Qi and resources, but it had hardly any of its own.
It did have, however, extremely efficient production facilities despite the lack of resources. Alchemists, refiners, and formation masters would frequent the island for materials or performing some work of their own, but few stayed.
It was a place that seemed to rotate its population in and out on a regular basis where only those actively working or on a particular mission spent any time there.
A few small sects had been set up that leaned towards keeping those laboratories and forges working well with well trained disciples to support the experts that worked there. Essentially subservient sects for all intents and purposes.
