Return to Direwitch

The sky over Direwitch looked gray, dark clouds gathering above as if reflecting the grim and sorrowful atmosphere of the city. Alaric and Zanuba stood at the edge of a hill overlooking the town, their sharp gazes fixed on the old buildings that reluctantly stood beneath the looming shadow of the large tower at the city's center.

Zanuba took a deep breath, looking toward Alaric, who stood silent and somber. "Is this Direwitch?" she asked with some hesitation. "You said it used to be beautiful."

Alaric sighed deeply, recalling the image of Direwitch in the past. The city had once been filled with beautiful stone buildings and wooden carvings, with clean streets always bustling with merchants and craftsmen. But now, all of that was gone. The Direwitch Alaric knew seemed to have vanished with the passage of time. The once beautiful buildings were now in ruins, the streets empty, and darkness shadowed every corner of the city.
