The Beginning (Part 2)

To persuade Noxus, Lich made an effort. She shook his body. After a few times, she moved her hand to grab his head and gave him a direct yet intense stare in the eyes. Noxus didn't answer any single word. He felt woozy because of how violently the shaking was.

"No, Not that. You will soon enough witness the power that Eterna carries. She and others that are similar will be great additions to us." Lich then moved her hand on Noxus's shoulder again. She attempted to convince him by shaking him much more quickly. Noxus's body was just wobbling around because he couldn't keep up with the intensity. With the help of a fishy smear of seawater and the shaking, Lich made Noxus wanna throw up. He tried to hold it until Lich's stopped the shake. After seeing that, Lich let go of his shoulder. Noxus then ran to the cliff's edge and threw his gut out.

*rainbow puke*

"Really... C-could you just stop torturing me?" Noxus begged as he tried to walk carefully. His head was still dizzy. He approached Lich slowly as if He were a grandpa carrying a stick. He tried to balance his shaky feet. Lich didn't respond in any way.

"A-anyway, Why are you so obsessed about "find this" and "find that" ? It's not an easy task. Even if I used sacrilegious or cursed spells to baptize them into our cult, they won't be like her or possibly wouldn't make it. She is just the anomaly." Noxus said the stuff while trying to stand up straight. His eyes now level with Lich.

"Yes, but there is a possibility. Go find it," Lich saw his eyes back as she tilted her head to the left as if a sign to hurry him for the find.

"Really? Really? Wow, Mrs. Genius. WhAt A gOd PlAn." Noxus sarcastically talked to Lich as he showed a shocking face to annoy her.

"Why are you making that face? Stop! What is your plan then?" Lich crossed his hands and put them in front of her stomach while rolling her eyes up at him.

"You will find a new cult member with her across the Aerila. After tha-" While picturing Aerila from end to end, his hands were spread from right to left. In the middle of his explanations, Lich was cutting in the conversation.

"Wait, wait... Why do you keep explaining as if I'm agreeing to it." Lich was annoyed as she stared at him.

"Because it's your idea. I couldn't do it because I couldn't leave other members." Noxus took it easy as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Just leave them. Those people are ungratef-" Lich argued. She really didn't care about the rest of the cult members.

"Stop talking about your own fami-" They heard a faint step before Noxus finished. When they believed it to be Eterna, Lich vanished. However, they soon realized it wasn't coming from the cave itself. They searched for the noise's sources. It came from the bottom of the walkway. In that direction, they turned their bodies.

"She is right, Noxus. Just be free. I can handle this cult. You are still the leader that goes on missions." It was a young lady dressed in a black robe and pointed hat. She took off her hat and moved in their direction. It showed her pointed ears and green hair.

"Annika, You heard us?" Noxus was shocked as he looked at her nervously.

"Yes, You already know my blessing," Annika answered while putting a smile on her face.

"Manipulated the air. I know. But please, don't tell others that I keep Eterna here." Noxus convinced her to keep everything a secret while Lich appeared again.

"I won't. Actually, I'm here to help you. You must have had different viewpoints regarding Thia's situation." She calmly explained what her purpose was there while occasionally fixing her hair.

"Yeah, right." He just agreed.

"That's what I mean. Make others believe that your decision to keep Eterna was right." Annika tried to convince him.

"But, I can just hide h-" Noxus had an idea, he tried to explain his intentions, but it didn't end well.

"No, hide her just make others' opinions worse. By the time, they will find out," Annika kept rejecting Noxus's idea. Noxus felt annoyed with the situation while Lich just looked inside the cave, in case Eterna was already done.

"If I go outside, I couldn't do offensive thi-" Noxus kept pushing his retention of rejection. But Annika just shook her head while a gracious smile stuck on it.

"Yeah, that's why this madam over here exists," Annika pointed to Lich. Lich that didn't aware was startled. She turned her body to the others and said something.

"Stop talking, Magicless Elf. I didn't want it. Also, stop acting like an old person." Lich tried to insult Annika for her inability to cast any magic. She was an exception. The only elf who was born with a small vessel of mana was her. Besides that, The mana was absorbed unconsciously to maintain her long life. The thing that was destined as an ability ended up being cursed. Until she found this cult, the only thing that gave her hope.

"Well, Indeed. I lived thousand years earlier." Annika glared at Lich. Her smile disappeared.

"Blabla... Aren't you tired of living eternally by that blessing?" Lich never worried about the terror. Instead, she wanted to contest it. She then glared back.

"I didn't. It's good. I want to wait the time my sacrifice for Goddess Yoko comes." Annika raised her hands facing the sky as her face tilted a little as if a priestess embracing the holy light from the sky.

"Tsk... you such a psycho." Lich turned her head as she was annoyed with her.

"Back to the topic, you will go with him and Eterna. Because only three of you that safe to travel over the border." Annika pointed to them as she moved her index finger between both. She then clapped her hands together in front of her chest.

*Clap*

"It's decided, then." She claimed it by herself since nobody answered. While others were just dumbfounded by how selfish she was.

"No-no, Eterna and I are acceptable. I did see her have an invisible mark. But him?" Lich showed her blessing implying that both of them wouldn't get caught. She turned her body in Noxus's direction. She tried to point to his visible mark as well. She definitely looked frustrated.

"He could too," Annika smirked at her.
