28 Crazy and Chaotic

Blood splattered all over Ari's hands and hospital clothes. A mocking sneer appeared on Ariel's lips, but then her face morphed into a fearful expression as she screamed. Her scream was loud enough to wake up the dead, and thus she attracted the attention of Noah, who was sleeping in the resting room just next to Ari's ward. 

The sound of footsteps echoed in the corridor before the door burst open. 

"What happened?" Noah was the first one to barge in the room behind him were Glynn and Mrs Nelson. 

The Harlow couple didn't arrive at the hospital, as they had little to no concern for Ari and couldn't be bothered to show up unless she was dying. 

It was a good thing, thought Ari, as she knew that her mother would have slapped her to death if she saw her precious daughter getting stabbed. Even though Ari was not the one who did it, she knew that no one would believe her. 

Sure enough, Mrs. Nelson strode towards Ariel, who was in Noah's arms. She was clutching her shoulder with a painful expression.

"I am fine, I am fine… Ari just slipped up and nothing else," she spoke up supporting Ariana instead of blaming her, which only fanned the anger of the people present in the ward against Ari. 

"You b*tch!" Mrs. Nelson forgot her elegance as a former socialite, she cursed at Ari before storming over where Ari was lying and raised her head before bringing it down heavily.

SLAP. 

Ari's face turned to the side as a sharp pain stung her face. 

"What do you think you are doing?" Glynn questioned angrily from the side. "How dare you stab Ariel, who do you think you are?" 

Ari turned her face to look at the people glaring at her. She thought that Mrs Nelson's slap would anger her, but surprisingly, she didn't feel anything. 

She raised her hand and then rubbed her swollen cheek before saying, "I did what any woman would do to their husband's mistress. There is no need to get shocked like that… that wound is just a scrape. A single wipe with a cotton ball will clean all that blood." 

"She is being dramatic, maybe all the acting classes I paid for while she partied are finally paying off, what do you say sister?" Ari questioned with a sarcastic grin. 

Upon seeing her attitude, Ariel stiffened. In the past, Ari wouldn't act angry or upset with her because she understood her value in Noah's heart. Ariel believed that Ari would suffer this loss silently as well, but she actually pointed out in front of everyone that it was just a scrape! 

Not only that, Ari even said that she was acting. Earlier she was thinking of bribing a doctor and then blaming Ari even more, but now it seemed a bit hard.

"You…how can you be this shameless!?" Mrs. Nelson questioned angrily, she didn't believe Ari, she simply thought that Ari was being stubborn and shirking responsibility. 

Upon hearing her words, Ari laughed out loud, causing the Nelson family and Ariel to be stunned.

Glynn's face turned red as she saw Ari laughing as if she had done nothing wrong. She snapped, "Stop! What are you laughing at?" 

"You," Ari stopped laughing as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye. "You all called me shameless for the past three years. Now that I am acting as one, you all are shocked…why?" 

Noah frowned upon hearing Ari's words. He looked at her and asked with visible disgust, "Ari, have you gone crazy?" 

"Yes. I have gone crazy!" Ari exclaimed with a wild look in her eyes. She sat up straight and smiled eerily, "You all have driven me crazy! If you don't let me go, I am telling you this is just beginning! If I don't get a happy life, then you all f*cking bastards can forget about living a happy life!"

"Today it was just a warning scrape! If you don't divorce me, Noah, I will kill you all in the middle of the night! Hahaha!" 

If Ari had defended herself, the Nelsons would have believed that Ariel was seriously harmed, but with Ari acting like this, they knew that Ariel was not dangerously hurt. 

Mrs. Nelson stared at Ari, whose hair was flying wildly, and her eyes had a crazy look in her eyes. She stepped away from the woman as she could see that there was something wrong with Ari, even Glynn, who acted like a brave tigress in front of Ari, hid behind her mother.

Noah, on the other hand, looked at his wife, who seemed like a stranger. He pursed his lips before saying, "You are not in the sane state of mind. We will discuss this matter later on." He thought that Ari was acting like this because he locked her up in the room for three days. 

Once she calmed down, they could talk about their relationship.

He turned to walk away with Ariel, who was inwardly grinding her teeth. She wanted to use this method to scare Ari as well as gain Noah's sympathy, but this injury for which she went through great lengths——everything turned out to be useless. 

Once Noah left, Mrs. Nelson and Glynn followed him. They were too scared to be with Ari, who seemed to have lost her mind. 

The door of the ward closed just as soon as it was open. Ari's eyes which were crazy just a moment ago turned normal as she turned her head away from the door and snorted. 

"Guess all that practice I did with Ariel came in handy," Ari muttered as she slipped down the hospital bed. Her eyes fell on the door's window once again, and she saw two burly shadows. 

Noah must be afraid that she would run away from the ward. Thus he arranged for these bodyguards to keep an eye on him. Since a bunch of bodyguards followed the Nelson family, it mustn't have been hard on him. 

However, what Noah forgot was —— crazy never took the normal route. They chose the chaotic one.
