Nicolai looked at Theodore and nodded. He stepped out of the room with Theodore and said to her, "Are you upset with what I have done?"
There was no other reason except this one. Maybe Theodore still held some hopes for Penelope?
"No," Theodore shook his head. His expression was serious, as if he was pondering what to make of Nicolai's actions. "I am not upset. What Penelope had done is something no one should ever do, and what's even worse is that she did such a thing to Ariana."
"I know better than you when to forgive someone. What Penny has done is not worth forgiving. She deserves what you did to her."
He paused and sighed, "Penelope should have known better; there was no way we would have stayed silent once we found out about the things that she had done to my daughter." Theodore placed his hands behind his back and said to Nicolai, "With great status and power come great responsibilities. There is no way I would agree to her twisted reasoning."
