Chapter 1069: Revenge

The Scalpel Organization's security was stringent. Although it couldn't be claimed to be impregnable, it certainly wasn't a place where natives clad in simple garb wielding long spears could infiltrate.

Selum pressed the red button on the right side of the computer display screen. Through this button, he could notify his subordinates.

"There's an intruder in the corridor on the second floor to the north. Go check it out and respond immediately!"

Selum's tone was very serious. When he spoke in this tone, his subordinates wouldn't make jokes with him.

He sat quietly for a while but received no response.

"Repeat, respond immediately if you hear this!"

Selum was perplexed. He hadn't assigned any tasks to his subordinates, who should all be at the base, so it was impossible that they were not answering him.

Realizing something was wrong, Selum stood up. He decided to check it out himself. Thus, he pulled out a drawer, loaded bullets into his handgun, then headed toward the door.
