Another Vampire

Ethan grinned as he watched the being vanish from the room, assuring Natasha Knox, "Don't worry, I won't forget your name."

Afterward, he put on his pants and cleaned himself, his body now fully healed from their encounter.

Ethan let out a deep sigh before squatting down to retrieve the crystal orb that had fallen behind Natasha's throne earlier.

The moment his hand made contact with the crystal, a sharp pain shot through him, particularly in his mind. It felt as though his consciousness was being forcefully torn apart and reorganized.

Stumbling back, Ethan accidentally dropped the crystal orb and it shattered into pieces. 

Intense throbbing in his head and momentary blurring of his vision overwhelmed him. As the pain gradually subsided, he found himself on the floor, drenched in cold sweat. A sense of confusion enveloped him as he tried to comprehend what had just transpired.
