Deal!

Normans jaw dropped at the sight of the status screen, "what in gods name is that!"

Not bother whit his question, Clay had somthing better on his mind. "Which god?"

"Uhm, it was just a figure of speech. I don't believe in god." Norman tried to shrug off the point, thinking that he might offend Clay.

"How could you not believe in the gods? I'm a god." Clay responded with an almost snarky smile, practically begging Norman to refute him.

"Ok well… whatever we have somewhere too be. More specifically you have someone who wants to meet you." Norman said before walking off towards a car, completely forgetting the need to ID.

After about two minutes of driving, Clay could sense that this machine was killing the air wherever it went, it's toxic fumes injuring the spirits of the world.

Another five minutes and Clay figured out how to open the windows, but this would be the worst experience yet. He was hit in the face with the toxic wind Wich immediately made him feel sick.

"Your plane sucks."

"This is a car not a plane"

"A plane as in layer of the 4th dimension"

"Oh… why does it suck?"

"You guys have no mana, this planets spirits are almost dead, and I feel sick just by breathing your air."

Hearing this, Norman thought about the difference between a world of magic with zero pollution, and how vastly different it would be from Earth. Coming to a decision in his head he immediately got off of the highway and quickly navigated too the most wooded area nearby, Batsto village, of the Wharton forest.

Clays sickening feeling cleared up quickly after being surrounded by the forest. The spirits here while not in perfect health, where in better health then anything so far.

"I thought we where going to meet someone." Clay said while surveying the land.

Looking over at the much less pale Clay, Norman brought out his phone and hit it a few time before holding it too his ear.

"Hey… no we won't make it, he gets sick from the pollution in the air or something… we are at Wharton forest… yeah… bring a purifier."

"Who was that?" Clay knew what phones where as he had talked about Norman about his world on multiple occasions now.

"Head of my department. Your kinda a big deal right now." Norman responded before continuing. "You should settle down or explore the town. I'm going inside that building." Before walking off too a grey and depressing building.

Walking off towards a village that was more reminiscent of his childhood city, albeit only architecturally, Clay found An empty space with a sign before it just after he had passed over a small dam.

I should build a shrine here… contact Nirin.

And that's exactly what Clay did. Completely disregarding the sign conveying the historical significance of the spot, Clay accelerated the growth of the grass in ground and the small tree seeds sitting it.

By the time he was done, a small shrine made of multiple trees Wich all converged into a upwards spiral was erected. Each tree re-exspanded after that, being a branch of a larger tree like structure. At the front of this spiral, two trees opened up to turn into a archway into a hollow interior. The inside had benches made of bushes with other greenery like moss on top of the branches for compfort.

Clay could easily manipulate the plants because they where normal plants which had never touched mana before; The plants craved mana like hungry beasts, it's power makings them grow and mutate.

This shrine not only was good for the spirits of the area, but also surved as a connection to Erebus, letting mana leak through and slowly burnish the surrounding plants and Clay.

Taking a nap in his little shrine, Clay only awoke when loud wind chops awoke him.

Stepping out, he found about twenty men with larger guns then Norman all surrounding his shrine, and a large flying chariot with a rotating cross flying overhead in the direction of the dull building Norman was staying at.

"What do ya want?" Clay said nonchalantly, but his internal thoughts where very different.

I might have screwed up.

A soldier wearing a full combat suit like the other 19 but with a dark blue armband stepped out.

"Please state you name and purpose!"

"I'm Clay, god of creation, and I'm just chilling in my shrine." Clay told them in a tone that said 'who's asking'.

"So your the guy they found in the ruins," the PID officer said before lowering his gun, "was this… tree, you too?"

"Yeah, it's helping to heal the spirits of the area, provide mana, and is super comfortable with healing effects within." Clay baosted the benifits of his shrine.

"Neet. follow us, the director wants to meet you." The PID officer said with a professional tone.

Knowing he was too meet someone, Clay didn't ask questions and followed them back to the dull grey building.

In minutes Clay was seated before a older man, Director Reginald, a large strapping man who's suit barely held his build. "Hello," Reginald held out his had for a hand shake, "i believe you are Clay?"

Not knowing what the man was holding his hand out for, Clay ignored it. "Yes, I am Clay, god of creation."

Awkwardly rescinding his hand the director continued. "We would like too… offer you a deal."

"I won't sign any blood pacts with you if that's what you want." Clay responded almost instantly.

"Sir Clay, we don't have magic here all contracts are enforced by the government and nothing else. But the deal we had in mind would go somthing along the lines of you help us figure this mana stuff out and we help you with something in return." The Director offered Clay this deal hoping he would teach them magic and get a leg up on other countries around the globe.

"I shall agree if you sign a magical contract. And my condition will be that you help spread my religion in this world." Clay conveyed his acute modifications.

"When you say spread, how much?" Reginald asked with a grave tone.

Considering there are no gods here based off the lack of mana it should be easy too get followers.

"let's say about a million people." Clays number was high in his mind. That number was about 1000 city's back in his world as the average large city population was 8-12 thousand.

When Clay let down a number, the tensions in the room deflated by a palpable degree.

This wasn't so bad! The PID officer and their director where scared of an outrageous number like 2.159 billion, Wich is the total following count of Christianity.

This task would still be difficult to achieve as religions had been dieing out after the advent of new technologies, and sciences. But it was still doable due to Clays magical capabilities!
