Mission: Kill 100 Goblins!

Peerless Academy, The Tower, Floor 1.

The forest was enormous, dark, and verdant.

Its canopy was claimed by magnolia, cypress, and dogwood, and rays of light bursting through their crowns allowed for a mosaic of plants to cultivate the branch and twig-laden ground below.

Swooping climbing plants held onto a couple of trees, and a mishmash of flowers, which were common to this area only, added colorful variety to the otherwise green terrain.

A variety of animal noises, predominantly those of bird songs, resonated through the air, and almost completely muffled the occasional roar of a large animal trying to scare away predators.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light and a young man appeared, with gray hair and striking golden eyes. Naturally, it was Noah.

Noah after taking the teleportation portal, was sent to this place. He quickly scanned his surroundings. He was vigilant, he held his longsword tightly to the right and checked his daggers. He wore light gray armor, it was a common grade armor. He also wore a dark green backpack.

Noah who was about to advance suddenly froze when a robotic voice rang out.

{Welcome to the 1st Floor of the Peerless Academy's Tower. For your advancement class, the following mission has been issued: Kill a hundred Goblins. Good Luck!}

Noah's body turned tense as he understood it was the beginning, gripping his sword he stepped forward, he could hear his heartbeat quickening, he rapidly performed this exercise.

He inhaled and exhaled repeatedly to regain his cool.

After a few seconds, he succeeded. There's nothing to be afraid of, it was not his first time fighting against goblins, he was just overwhelmed by the numbers but he understood better not to let his mind get affected. With an unstable mind, there is a higher risk of making a blunder and it could lead to an injury.

''Well, let's eat some cookies first.''

''These little cuties provide nutritious sources of protein and vitamins that help to produce a stable metabolism.''

As if he was giving himself a reason to enjoy the cookies he liked so much.

In a flash, Noah devoured eight cookies he secretly brought.

''Delicious, I feel alive.'' Noah would have loved to continue eating nonstop but he stopped, playtime over.

His current expression was different from the previous one, he was relaxed and ready for some action, it was then it appeared.

Rustle~

A small creature walked out from the shadow of a tree a few meters away from Noah's location. Its height was comparable to that of a child, it had green skin and pointy ears, poorly dressed and holding a wooden staff, a goblin.

''Kieee?"

The goblin with its round eyes stared at Noah before his eyes turned ruthless, ready to bash the human before him but this goblin suddenly stopped and stared in another direction.

''Kiee?"

Noah calmly followed that direction and saw a second goblin coming out.

The two immediately seemed to understand each other and planned to ambush Noah together.

It was then Noah's expression switched to a cold one. He seemed to have killed off his emotions and solely focused his attention on killing the enemy before him, a method his father taught him.

Swoosh!

Noah's feet kicked against the ground and he vanished, having unleashed his full speed.

He held a sword in one hand, a dagger in another one.

In a flash, he arrived between the goblins.

His movements were swift and precise, and his weapons danced with deadly accuracy.

Even the goblins were momentarily taken aback by his intensity.

They tried to back away but it was already too late, Noah's blades reached them faster, and one sword beheaded the goblin on the left, green blood gushed up like a fountain. He avoided while at the same time thrusting his dagger forward, the dagger pierced the heart of the one on the right. Everything happened too fast and the goblins died before they were even aware of it.

It was clean and swift.

That robotic voice rang out once more informing Noah of his progress, he ignored it and leaped into the forest in search of his next prey, he soon found them and another battle followed.

More than two and a half an hour later, Noah was still fighting, currently attacking a goblin holding a rusty sword.

Sshh-!

"Kieeeek!"

The goblin, who had lost both eyes, fell to the ground writhing in pain.

Noah immediately flew through the air and plunged his dagger into the goblin's neck.

Puchi!

Ignoring that robotic voice announcement, Noah immediately rolled his body to the side.

Tuk!

The dagger plunged into the ground where he had just been.

Fortunately, he listened to his instinct and moved accordingly.

Noah quickly jumped up.

"Kiiiiiiieeeeek!"

He pierced the chest of that goblin and turned to find his next target.

A constant stream of unrelenting movement.

There was no room for a moment of carelessness.

He moved forward.

Noah's eyes rapidly scanned the situation.

"Kiiiiiiiii…."

The goblins backed away with fearful expressions. They fled.

All the goblins nearby had been killed.

So he could finally let his guard down for a bit.

"I can take a breather for a moment."

Noah, who had regained his composure, took out some cookies. It's cookie's time.

After enjoying his cookies' time it was time to act again, the final act was about to start, so he believed.

Noah moved, going toward the enemy and the nearby goblins started to back away. They had become afraid of him, he reeked the blood of their fallen brethren. They were afraid of such a dangerous man capable of slaughtering them so easily and without any emotion.

Seeing this situation Noah couldn't help but grin, and then immediately picked up one of the daggers on the ground, and shot it without aiming.

"Kiiak!"

It hit one of the goblins' chest, while the others were startled by the sight of their fallen comrade writhing in pain.

"Aren't you coming to me?"

The goblins kept backing away.

Noah picked up another dagger and threw it, and another goblin fell.

However, the Goblins kept backing away shivering, Noah watched them for a bit and then sighed.

"If you're not coming, then I'm coming to you."

Instantly, he closed the distance and unleashed a flurry of sword moves.

The green blood splattered in all directions.

As soon as he defeated the last goblin before him, Noah was met with a flood of notifications.
