Chapter 243: Battle of Lights 3

Mira's tails lashed toward Daisuke. They were slow but they seemed to draw him toward them.

Daisuke decided to go on the offensive and created 6 identical short swords out of golden light. The swords all pointed toward Daisuke who clasped his hands together. As Daisuke was about to perform his move a flash of understanding went through his mind.

The tails that approached him seemed to turn into unbreakable chains that would bind him forever if he touched them. The truth of the situation was that the Gene Lord's major instinct allowed Mira to rapidly evolve as she fought.

The tails had the property of slowing down whatever came close to them. This was not an ability Mira naturally possessed. The instincts of the Rank 27 Dream Fox mixed with her Gene Lord instincts and the capabilities of her diamond she had yet to be able to use were what produced this ability that could perfectly counter Daisuke.

The nasty part of the ability was that any soul that touched the tail would have its time frozen and the soul would have to lose parts of itself to gain freedom. If Daisuke touched any tail it would throw him in a vicious cycle where he would keep losing parts of himself to the tails that would wrap around him.

Daisuke's armor of light transformed: The light that made it up condensed into rings of light around the joints of his arms, feet, neck and at the start and end of his tail. Waves of invisible light surged from the circles and he disappeared like an illusion.

Daisuke reappeared a few kilometers in the distance. Daisuke sent a psychic message saying "You grow more dangerous with every moment we fight".

Mira said "And you grow more mysterious. To think you could even move faster". Daisuke smiled and said "Don't worry, there's disadvantages for every advantage. You'll learn that".

More swords that Mira could count appeared around Daisuke, each had different shapes and sizes. Daisuke spread his arms outward and the swords flew toward him some circling around, others were going directly.

'Countless Sword Style: Stellar Blade'

"ZMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

With a loud buzz, countless streams of multicolored light shot from the center of the swirling mass of light swords going towards Mira. Mira blocked the attack with her tails by crossing them in front of her which slowed down the beams but couldn't stop them from piercing. Silver blood dripped from the point where the tails made contact with the beams as she was pushed back through the air.

Mira gathered the white flames of Drive in her tail, charging them while diving into her instincts again. Mira slowed down as her tails eventually became able to fend off the beams of light. Daisuke had not put his soul into the attack because he felt that would damage her too much for a spar so the attack didn't have any effect on her soul.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!"

With a loud shout, Mira spread her tails releasing a wave of diamond energy that shattered the beam. Mira thought 'If it's long range you want you'll get that'.

Mira's feet turned to hooves and her vertical pupils became horizontal. Her tails retracted back into her body and her fangs turned to molars as her face became that of human again. A lance with the horn of a unicorn as the blade grew from her hand. Its pole was made of the same white bone that made the lance.

Mira pointed the lance toward Daisuke who spread his arms out to perform another Stellar Blade. Mira gathered Drive flames on the spear and pumped it with diamond energy.

Mira's transformation took another weird turn as 4 eyes formed on her body and separated from it. The eyes had two eye red balls and they floated in front of the spear, forming a line. This was Mira's new form, Sagittarius. Mira covered the eyes in Drive flames and diamond.

The swords around Daisuke swirled again and a various beams of light with different colors shot out from him. Mira shot of beam of diamond energy from the tip of the spear. The beam went through the four eyes and came out with its power condensed and its speed amplified.

Mira's beam easily pierced through Daisuke's beam on first contact which made Daisuke condense the beams of light on Mira's beam, giving it the form of a drill. When Daisuke's beam finally stopped Mira's beam space began to crack around the point of contact.

Tremendous amounts of energy seeped into the environment warping it and causing chain reactions of small nuclear explosions. A foreign energy zone expanded from one of the caves around the mountains. The energy twisted in various patterns and the two energy beams started to vanish like they were being erased from existence from their point of contact.

Daisuke looked toward the source of the energy zone and said "Sorry for the disturbance" with a psychic message. A 15 meter long serpentine lizard with white scales with some black patterns came out of the cave that the foreign energy zone expanded from.

The creature had 4 short horns protruding from its head, two were white and two were black, and claws protruding from then end of its digits with half of them being white and the other half was black. Its mouth was filled with sharp teeth with this same white and black color distribution as it's claws and it had two mustache like tendrils above its upper lip. Its vertical pupils focused on Mira before moving back to Daisuke.

Mira's IP denoted it as a [Rank 24 Celestial Dragon]. The dragon said to Daisuke "I already foresaw this, no need to apologize". Daisuke thought 'So if you didn't successfully foresee this you would have been pissed?' but didn't voice his question.

He said "This is Mira the 3rd member of our group" as he pointed to Mira and said "This is Tian, the person that completes our 3 person group". Mira said "Wow, you look so beautiful. Must be nice to be a dragon".

Tian said "Indeed my form is marvelous. Your forms are also beautiful and powerful. It is nice having you on the team". Mira said "What was that thing you just did now?"

Enthusiasm filled Tian's face as he said "It's a spell I call Yin Erasure. It analyses the properties on any harmful energy, Yin, and transforms the energy in it to a perfect counter that I call Yang. When Yang mixes with the Yin, it balances it out and turns the energy back to its base and non-harmful and non-beneficial form".

Mira thought 'If I asked what Yin and Yang means he will just start rambling like Jade' and said "It sounds nice. We should practice together then, I'm sure you have a lot of spells".

Tian said "You are right but it would be best if we train above the sea then. There is only so much destruction that can be allowed in my father's domain".

On hearing that Mira and Daisuke floated after Tian toward the sea to continue their training.
