Chapter - 23

Earth, 3 months later

The new Imperial Army was navigating near Earth's orbit.

The Adeptus Mechanicus had expanded the former Vers capital and started the production of Aldnoah engines. The blueprints left by the Vers Empire proved to be very useful for the creation of a proper logistical management system. Kitten had described how the Imperium of their universe uses psykers to get the messages through the Imperium and that the ships don't get lost in space through the use of the Astronomican.

This caused a reaction of awe and a massive headache to Anastasia, the fact that her father was able to guide millions of vessels through the warp truly impressed her, to say the least, but at the same time, the Imperium of Man was a logistical mess. Anastasia had the advantage of being able to access ancient space travel technology thanks to the UNSC archives and the several others found on several other planets and the things saved inside the Moon Cell.

When Anastasia wasn't too busy with leading the Legion through the ruins of the previous civilizations she would visit the former Empress of the Vers Empire to build the Imperium Government since that was the next step in Anastasia's plan after recovering all the arsenals left by the other civilizations. Thinking of expanding of conquering nations without thinking about building a functioning form of government was useless after all.

After getting the last fleet of the UNSC, the Imperium has visited several other planets to get manpower, the other Primarchs and several lost technologies like the titan technology of the IMC and the Militia of the frontier.

With all the arsenals recovered from outside the solar system, the Imperium started the second phase of its plans, the recovery of all Terran Ancient Tech. Once this objective will be completed the Imperium will finally enter the last stage of its creation...

The Emperor had remained true to his world, Anastasia didn't rest since her arrival on Mars. Similar to what Prophet did, The Emperor had occupied her dreams but unlike Prophets, who kept Anastasia inside her dream world for days at best, he kept her initially for centuries practicing her power but once she gained more mental fortitude he kept her for Millenia, Magnus had tried to convince his father that he was being too rough with her and that keeping her that long inside her mind would have eventually broken her but his complains were completely shot down by both of the Emperor and the Empress.

The Master of Mankind revealed that inside of Anastasia there were thousands of souls of psykers thanks to Mercer who back in his civilization had consumed many people, Herrschers and zombified humans. He had eaten many potential psykers that due to being inexperienced ended up becoming zombie honkais. He had forced Anastasia to fuse with these souls in order for her to unlock humanity's potential but she was still far from even come close to Magnus due to her lack of knowledge that simply couldn't be learned in a few lessons.

The people around Anastasia had noticed how after every night she was different from the previous day and that after the fusion a certain aura that caused most to not be able to meet her eyes appeared around her.

Anastasia was now inside her private chambers, sitting next to her there was her brother Magnus and Kitten while her Father was walking around. The young Empress was trying to practice the Divination Discipline aided by Magnus and her Father, unfortunately, so far, she had only collected failures. The other disciplines, in her opinion, were way easier to practice

"Well, maybe she doesn't have the predisposition for Divination" Magnus muttered after another failure as he crossed his arms

Anastasia sighed as she felt quite frustrated with herself, she had gone through hell to fuse her soul and even then it was not enough, she still lacked the discipline needed to use all of the Psychic Disciplines, her father had told her how if she wasn't able to achieve this she will lose no matter what against the Honkai God.

"Nonsense" The Emperor replied "She has my genes and thanks to Mercer who ate a fuck ton of possible psykers, she should be able to use all the disciplines...I have an idea"

Anastasia raised an eyebrow "What is it, father?"

"Why don't you try to check on your acquired big sister or that friend of yours?" The Emperor said

"that's actually a good idea" Magnus said as he pointed his finger at Earth "Try to find them and see what's going to happen in their near future"

Anastasia slowly nodded as she closed her eyes and peered through the strands on the immaterium.

"The Immaterium here is way calmer than the warp especially without Tzeench around so it should be at least a bit easier" Magnus voice said

Anastasia barely heard him as she finally saw what she was looking for...

Cecilia was being taken to surgery as she was about to give birth to her child. A small smile appeared on Anastasia's lips since she saw the man named Siegfried beside her old friend. Her happiness didn't last long as she found herself in front of Siegfried and Otto.

"I'm sorry Sieg...your wife didn't make it" Otto said as he sighed "We tried our best but...she was gone before we could do anything

tears fell from Siegfried's eyes at the news before putting his hands on the overseer's shoulders "what about our Kiana?"

Otto turned his gaze away for the knight "I'm sorry..."

Anastasia was shocked and started to think about how to avoid Cecilia's death, the immaterium, as if responding to her thought, started showing her another vision

Cecilia and Siegfried were holding their daughter in their arms with a happy expression.

Anastasia was clearly happier with that outcome and so thousands of ways to reach that ending flashed before her eyes...then she remembered about what her father told her...the Divination Discipline allowed her to see possible futures and how to reach them but said visions didn't guarantee the result and if they proved to be wrong they could lead to a disastrous outcome. The Empress widened her eyes as her gaze returned in the real world, her brother and everyone else had disappeared, she touched her eyes and found out that she was crying. The Empress quickly got up and started walking through the corridors of the Eternal Protector with one objective in mind...getting to Earth.

The Empress walked through the throne room of the Eternal Protector where her throne and the ones of her sister. She used this place for discussing with her sisters about the actions of the Imperium and so she wasn't surprised to see them sitting on their thrones.

Esdeath seemed to be bothering the poor man they picked up on the planet called Helghan. Just like a normal Primarch, she was way bigger than any normal human being but that was entirely her choice since thanks to the nanomachines inside her body she was able to change the shape of her body on will. Just like most of her sisters she was wearing a white Artificer Armor with black outlines, with the insignia of her imperial arm on her shoulder

The man she was bothering was the one called Tatsumi, who was shorter than her by 30 centimeters clad in dark dragonic armor. He was found on the planet Helghan where the people who have followed him had to adapt to the hostile environment of the planet, Anastasia would have made him a Primarch but the Primarch gene-stock didn't allow her to and trying to purify by Slaanesh's curse was too risky.

"where are you going, sister?" The Primarch of Armageddon Leone asked as she raised an eyebrow.

Leone was the woman in charge of the Steel Legion on a planet called Armageddon along with several other generals, she was one of the people who knew Esdeath and just like her had an Imperial Weapon called Lionel, which earned her the name of Lioness of the Desert.

Anastasia's stigmata demonstrated that the Lioness's body could withstand the transformation into Primarch. Just like the other Primarchs, Leone was injected with Anastasia nanomachines to make the procedure faster. Her power armor was similar to Esdeath with the difference of the color scheme which was light yellow with black outlines. Her insignia was, of course, a lion's head. Her only weapons were her clawed power fists which also had bolters installed on them.
