My Ability and Training.

{POV MC}

Fuck my head hurts… What the hell happened? The last thing that I remember was being in my father's arms, mother tickling me then…!!!

Ancient, you son of a bitch!

As I was cursing Ancient, I felt the softness of a bed underneath me as well as the presence of two others in a room. Mother… Father… I've made you both worry, stupid ancient ass!

I groaned as I tried to move my pain racked body from my abilities awakening, the noise from me grunting quickly alerted my parents who rushed to my bedside to see how I was.

"Ryuu! Oh, Ryuu…" Mother started to cry as tears gathered and fell from her heavy set eyes and down her pale cheeks. It seemed as if she had been crying the entire time.

I felt her hand grasp mine and hold onto it very tightly, noticing her hand tremble as she tried to calm herself down.

"Are you ok son? What happened?" Father asked with redness still in his eyes as he stood beside mother as he gently wrapped his arm around her.

"I'm… fine… I'm sorry for making you both worry, it seems my quirk has manifested. It is a very powerful quirk, it's called War Manipulation," I spoke weakly with a small smile, the awakening of my ability was beyond painful!

But the reaction from my parents was not what I had expected.

Mothers face became slightly paler, but a smile quickly formed on her face as she gently started to rub my cheek with her other hand.

Father's reaction was of surprise as it looked like he slightly understood what my quirk could possibly do. Then a determined look formed in his eyes as he looked directly into mine.

"It seems like I will have to enroll you in some martial arts lessons in a couple of years, but some light exercise to help build a foundation won't hurt. And if anybody asks, just say that your quirk is related to martial arts son." he spoke the last part with a firm tone as I weakly nodded my head.

I noticed mother trying to speak up but father just hugged her further as it looked like he was drawing strength from her.

"Trust me Inari," father said gently. "If anyone else knew our son had this quirk, he would become nothing but a tool, and I'll be damned if I ever allow that!" Father spoke with a firm tone as he swore to protect his son.

"I trust you, Itami," mother said between sobs. "I just wish that there was something more I could do, being quirk less like this makes me feel so weak. But I'll do my best to help in any way I can!"

Mother spoke with a determined look in her eyes as a slight crazed look started to spread and take root.

"You're not weak Inari, you're the strongest woman that I know, if anything I draw my strength from you," father spoke in a comforting manner as he didn't notice the look in mother's eye's. "And don't worry I'll do the same, I won't let anyone harm our son."

I could only continue to watch my parents as multiple thoughts and ideas started to form in my mind, trying to figure out whatever I could to properly utilize my ability.

I knew it was a very powerful ability as when I looked up who Ancient was, I found multiple things related to war, tactics, martial arts, and much more. Some were rather interesting to read, while others were well… let's not discuss that as children are present.

"Two years, wow… time really does just pass by when you're having fun huh," I said as I finished a set of katas and looked in the mirror of my personal training room father built for me.

"Just look at me, so handsome and fierce," I said confidently but if I'm being honest, I look very typical; dark black hair, normal face slightly above average, hazel eyes, and so far normal height.

"Damn Ancient, told me I was in a manga/anime world, yet here I stand normal. Still, rather beats being the pretty boy, never quite liked them back in my original plane. Silk pants wearing, morons." I sighed as I went to my training room's washroom to clean myself walking past a small mountain of books.

Katas, shadow boxing, and all-around physical training and many other books and manuals were spread all along my personal training rooms floor and wall. Father really did make sure a solid foundation was being built. I wonder how I would fare in real combat?

I sighed again in my mind and then shrugged.

Poorly, currently, I'm still a kid, a kid beating a trained hero or villain only happens in the manga and anime I watch to relax. I shook my head as I finished with my child like fantasy… for now.

As I was cleaning myself, I heard my father call out to me with a hint of urgency and happiness. I smiled as I knew what he was happy about.

"Did you finally finish it dad! What did mother think?" I replied in a happy manner and asked a question of my own as I found my father waiting for me in the training area.

Father may not have noticed mothers slight change in behavior, but I seemed to have noticed a few changes. She has become extremely dexterous with kitchen knives as of late, which was both amazing and terrifying to watch.

"She's just as excited about it as you have been, if not more on occasion. I wonder why sometimes?" Father answered with a smile on his face as he urged me along. "But enough about that, I've hired a trainer to help you with some of the more advanced techniques and combat, when you are ready though." He spoke in a fatherly tone as a smile soon spread across his face. "His name is Jorclan-sensei, he is a retired friend of mine from the military who specializes in 'training'. He's even helped me a few times when I needed it."

"Can he train me in military combat?" I asked, knowing what father would say.

"He can, yes, but just make sure you are careful." He said with a smile as we arrived at the entrance to the new training area, he built himself. "Your mother and Jorclan-sensei are already in the training room." he said as he opened the door, only to stop, shocked and tongue tied!

As we both saw something ridiculous yet terrifying!

Mother was seemingly attacking Jorclan-sensei with a pair of training knives in both her hands, and it seemed that Jorclan-sensei was having a slightly difficult time.

Both father and I were only able to pull ourselves together after Jorclan-sensei caught mother off-guard with a feint and disarmed her while pinning her to the ground.

"You're very talented with a knife, I never would have guessed that. What did you do to get to that level of dexterity?" Jorclan asked as he helped mother get back to her feet with a look of interest in his eyes.

"Oh, you know, just a typical stay at home mother just taking care of her family is all. Hi, honey!! Hi Ryuu!! Jorclan-sensei is an amazing trainer. I asked if he was able to help train me in some 'minor' training and he agreed. Isn't that amazing!" Mother spoke in a bright and jovial manner. "Lunch will be prepared in a little while, why don't you join us Jorclan-sensei. I'll be making hamburgers."

"That would be delightful, thank you Mrs. Yamamoto." Jorclan said with a smile as he placed his hands behind his back as he looked over toward me with an examining look and frowned. "First lesson, you'll stop with the excessive training for now as you've almost over exerted yourself."

Wow, he's pretty good it seems. I wonder what his quirk is to be able to tell that much or is it his experience? If anything, he'll be a good teacher. Then it felt as if the side of my head started to burn as mother and father seemed to be a little upset as I did keep that hidden from them as I did go a little bit too far sometimes without them noticing.

I quickly looked towards my parents and said "I'm sorry," with an innocent and apologetic expression. Then turned back to Jorclan. "Yes sensei," I bowed slightly to show my respect. "Student Yamamoto Ryuu accepts Senseis instruction. I'll stop right away, is there anything else sensei?" I asked, wondering if he had anything more to say.

Both mother and father eased up after I apologized, but I knew I was going to get a scolding later.

"Yes, I will be adding various stretching routines to your current regime. And you are currently banned from any form of physical training for two-weeks, to allow for rest." Jorclan said with a small smile on his face as he continued. "I can tell you can heal just a little quicker than most, but this is to allow for any hidden injuries to be taken care of."

I was a little shocked as my curiosity towards his quirk started to rapidly grow in my mind. "Sensei, is it ok to ask what type of quirk you have or is this all from your experience training people?" I couldn't hold back my curiosity as I really wanted to know.

He smiled and started to laugh softly as he answered. "You really are a curious one, aren't you lad. Unfortunately, I'm quirk less. It's just I've developed a good eye at reading others from all that experience from years and years of training." he finished as he started to scratch his peppered beard.

I was a little surprised to find that he was quirk less. I was able to find information that at least eight out of ten people were born with a quirk while the rest never manifested. I even found that those who were born with a quirk were treated differently. It seems that some things don't change even in an advanced form of society.

"Thank you for answering sensei. I can't wait to see what you're able to teach me!" I spoke with an eager and excited look on my face which seemed to bring a smile to Jordan-sensei's face as he started to laugh.

"It's of no issue Ryuu-kun. I'm glad you are excited but before we break for lunch lets stretch out those muscles, hmm," Jorclan spoke with squinted eyes as he continued to scratch his peppered beard. "And don't worry I'll make sure we finish with enough time for lunch."

Both mother and father just nodded their heads, but I seemed to notice a glint in fathers' eye as he closed the door to the new training room. I was a little confused when I saw the glint in his eye, and I started to wonder why?

{Outside New Training Area.}

'I wonder when the screaming will start.' Itami thought as he quickly closed the door as his wife happily strolled down the hallway. 'It seems he never fixed that habit of his, torturing newbies in his crazy stretch routines. I tried to tell you Ryuu, but you thought they were pointless.' Itami thought as he went to help his wife with lunch.

But before he could take any more than a dozen steps, he heard a painful scream that came from the training area. As a fatherly smile spread across Itamis face.

"I told you, you should have added some stretches into your routine, Ryuu." Itami said as he laughed slightly.
