Damn Caring

The more she worked the more she found it...not quite bad. She was slowly getting used to the working system and put all what she was thought to immediate effects. Her tab beeped with vibration, Alvira squinted her eyes looking at the tabled scribbled forms in it. Then it clicked, it was his schedule for today which has been sent to her.

Her eyes bulged when she saw the whole gatherings and stuff. "All this? just for today?" She muttered in hush whispers as she kept scrolling with unbelieving eyes.

A thought came to her mind and she immediately widen her eyes in realization. Does it mean....she will have to attend all this meetings with him?. Oh holy mother, save her some peace. At this rate she will faint daily due to stress. This is so unfair.... like who does this?.

Right now she felt like weeping so badly but she had no choice but to hold herself in. It won't change anything even if she cried a river.

Her trained of thoughts was distracted when the buzzer by her right side rang, She stared at it, confused of what to do first till it buzzed the second time. This time around the employee seated next to her gave her a strange look which unhiddly got her attention.

Alvira looked back at the employee with raised brows that indicates questions in them.

"You are supposed to go to the CEO now, He's calling you." The lady explained to her weirdly.

Alvira paused for some seconds. 'So that is what it's for?' She nodded to herself before she sprinted from her table with haste. 'Just the first day Alvira, just the first day.'

"Come in." She heard him say after she had knocked twice. The sharpness in his tone was easily detected.

"What took you so long?" He asked, not in a high pitched voice neither did He shout or scream at her, but she knew that plain voice of his spoke millions of hidden anger bubbling within because from his countenance she could see it, she was no fool.

Alvira bowed low in apology.

"I hate silence when I ask a question." Ezra bellowed.

"I...I I have no excuse to make up for my ignorance sir, I apologize. I had an issue identifying the message of the buzzer. Forgive my ignorance, I'll make sure it doesn't repeat ever again." She calmly said the truth instead of making up some random excuse and lying to him. Besides she was bad at lying, so he apparently would not believe her if at all she did.

Ezra didn't linger hard on the topic before moving on to why he sent for her in the first place. "I need the copy of the hotel documents based in the island at London. And also set a meeting appointment with the president of sheng groups. I need it done as soon as possible. If you can't, you can ask assistance from Mr wei." His eyes never leaving the laptop as he kept on typing with a speed that looks inhumane.

"I understand, but....." Alvira mouthed out loud and then gave a pause to her sentence.

"But what?" Ezra asked her.

"The meeting....I mean don't you... have enough meeting for today already?" Alvira questioned.

Hearing her question, Ezra threw his gaze that looked more like a terrifying glare at her which made her to swallow hard looking at his face.

"And what made you ask that question?"

".... Nothing important, I just cared for your health that's all." She replied hard enough.

Ezra's lips tugged up in a smirk, his eyes sharpened against her. "You don't have to worry about that, my health..." He made a dark chuckle before Concentrating back on his laptop.

Alvira did nothing but stand there and watch him. 'Okay fine if he doesn't care about himself, but she?! Damn caring about his health, that was just the only available excuse dancing at the tip of her tongue and she just had to release it.

"If you will need rest, by nine you shall leave." Coincidentally, His voice rang out. Reminding her of how easily he answers questions banging at the rim of her mind as if.....as if he could read her.
