"Because she never hurt you?" Leander caressed her forehead with the back of his hand.
Viviana lying on his legs hugged around his waist. With a cheeky grin, she rested his chin on his abdomen as he lay on the bed.
"Yes," she said with shameless certainty. She was speaking the truth, she thought. So, she doesn't have to lie. "She'll always be the perfect friend in my heart. Blameless and filled with love… she'll always be the person who loved me the most without any expectations."
"But I did…hurt you…" he said, his tone getting deeper.
Viviana found something was going wrong. But she couldn't figure out what it was. Maybe he thinks that she is blaming him?
She didn't answer him and stared at his face for a good long minute. She didn't want to hurt him by speaking the truth. He looked so pitiful for some reason.
