Ch. 23 "TERROR"

*Inside the dome of the south*

"Rei... Rei..."

A soft voice was calling out to Rei, slowly he opened his eyes. The moment his eyes were fully opened his body moved on its own, he pushed Mikaela away from him as he rolled away from the bench. Suddenly three consecutive lighting struck the couch they were sitting on obliterating it.

"Are you alright?" Rei immediately rushed towards Mikaela.

"It is unusual for lightning to strike at the same place twice, but three times... this is a bit odd" Mikaela spoke.

"Ms. Mikaela would you like us to clean your wound?" The waitress asked.

Mikaela looked at her right leg and realized that she has a wound, she immediately reacted acting like a child while looking at Rei.

Rei stared at her all confused like an idiot.

"Will you not kiss my wound to make me feel better?" Mikaela said.

"Come on, you're not a child. Ms. Waitress please help her out" Rei said with a smile.

The waitress stood for a while, her eyes glared at Rei trying to make him understand something. But after a few seconds she walked away to get the medical kit near them, she deemed that Rei was very, very dense. After taking the kit the waiter immediately treated Mikaela's wound wrapping it up with a bandage, the two was assisted until they got outside the bakery. Rei had to help Mikaela walk while she pretended that her wound was painful, the two walked down the same path they did to get to the bakery but there was no one around, it was very silent. But despite pretending Mikaela was on guard ready to defend against any attack, the two of them reached the tavern.

"Huh? Where's Mr. Collins and the other employee's?" Rei asked.

"Shhhh..." Mikaela silenced Rei by placing her hand on his mouth.

Rei immediately grabbed her hand and tried to remove it but was unable to, eventually Mikaela released him, Rei grasped for air as his face had already almost turned violet.

"What'd you do that for?" Rei scolded.

"Psst..."

A soft voice was calling out to them, the two looked around trying to find where the sound was coming from they then realized that it was coming from the second floor. The two slowly made their way up to the second floor each step they took the sound got louder, as they reached the second floor there were black footprints they glanced on both sides of the corridor Mikaela glanced at the left while Rei was on the right. Immediately Rei began tapping Mikaela's shoulder she looked at Rei and saw the reason why he was panicking, a tall black figure with thin body stood in front of their room door. Its right hand was seemed different it looked like a pointed stick that was aiming for whoever opens the door, and then the sound got louder.

"PSSTT!! PSSTT! PSSTT!" the black figure slowly turned its head and stared at Mikaela and Rei.

A mouth slowly started to form on its face, it was smiling at them psychotically as it pointed its hand at Rei, It was about to charge the two of them when suddenly out of nowhere a white light pierced a hole on the its chest. The figure screeched before running towards the hole on the end of the corridor that was caused by the light, the figure then grew large black wings and flew outside but before it was able to get far it suddenly exploded. On the other side of the corridor was the owner of the tavern who held a weapon which looked like a Zosma.

"Mr. Collins!!" Rei screamed in joy.

His mouth was immediately grabbed that silenced him.

"Is that a gift from your brother? Mr. Collins" Mikaela asked.

"No, this is my Star" He spoke.

"But is it alright to use it indoors?" Mikaela said before tapping the hand that held Rei's mouth.

"Mnnnnhhhhppmmm mmmmhhhppppnhhhh" Rei was trying to speak but was unable to peep a single word.

Collins then released Rei's face.

"I'm sorry Rei, but you see something bad is currently happening and I don't want my staff here to be placed in danger" Collins said with a soft voice.

Rei gave him a thumbs up while still grasping for breath.

"Mr. Collins what is currently happening?" Mikaela asked.

"We can't talk here, let's get in my room" Collins spoke before walking inside a room.

Mikaela assisted Rei as he was still out of breath.

"So mind explaining why a demon is doing inside the dome and why do you have a Star?" Mikaela asked.

"Ah well the Star was snuck in here with the help of Hugo of course, I rarely use this but there's a month in this place where I have to continually use it" Collins answered.

"How about answering my other question?" Mikaela said.

"I don't also understand the concept of a month like this, back when I first started my tavern a month like this also passed... ahh I still remember a few events that happened that day" Collins spoke with a smile.

"So you have no idea why demons would be here?" Mikaela spoke.

"Idea? I have one. For some reason I feel like there's someone here that is taming demons and giving them orders to decrease our population. I don't have any clear information that may help but I do trust my gut and its telling me that something is happening that we do not know" Collins explained.

"For now you two should stay inside your rooms and no matter who calls the two of you don't open the windows or door, unless you want to die of course" Collins warned them.

The two then walked out of his room and slowly walked towards their own, they immediately locked the window and door at the moment they were finished a voice began to call out then from outside the window.

"Psst... Psst..." It sounded.

Rei stood in front of the closed window tempting to open it.

"Don't you dare open that window!" Mikaela spoke.

She pulled Rei towards the bed and sat on top of him, she started to caress his body. But for some reason he was out of focus, Rei's arm was trying to reach the window, his eyes seemed to be lifeless. Mikaela forcefully kissed him but it was futile, she then slapped him as hard as she could.

Rei screamed in pain "Why'd you d-"

He was unable to complain when he saw Mikaela, her eyes was shedding tears as she clenched her jaws.

"Why... are you crying?" he asked.

Mikaela then embraced him while not saying a word.

The voice that was calling out to them suddenly disappeared.

"Is it gone?" Rei asked.

Mikaela did not answer, he then placed his hand on her head and began to brush her hair when suddenly a strong wind blew the window open breaking its lock. Mikaela immediately stood up and was ready to use her Star the moment anything enters their room. But nothing entered, wind continued to blow their room slowly began to feel cold.

"Do you hear that?" Rei asked.

"Hear what?"

Mikaela looked at Rei trying to figure out what he was hearing.

"That humming..."

"I don't hear anything"

Rei felt nostalgic as he listened to the humming, he stood up and walked towards the window. Before could do so Mikaela grabbed him by the hand.

"Don't go there"

Her eyes were fierce as she held his arm tightly.

"Please let go Mikaela... that tone..."

Mikaela slapped him once more thinking that he was being possessed by something. Rei glared at him with frightening eyes.

"Mikaela... that humming is from my father" He spoke.

Slowly Mikaela began to hear the humming that Rei was talking about, it sounded much different from how the demon sounded it had more of a human-tone to it. Hearing the humming she released Rei and watched as he looked out the window.

"Father..." he mumbled.

But as he stared outside there was no sign of anyone, neither was there any sign of a demon attack. He looked around but found no one, he then closed the window and tried to lock it but the lock was already wrecked.

"I'm sorry for slapping you..."

Mikaela apologized as Rei walked towards her.

"Don't worry about it, I forgive you" He said.

Rei then grabbed Mikaela by the chin and kissed her on the lips, Mikaela pulled Rei as they both fell on the bed. Rei started to strip Mikaela, after doing so he began to kiss her by the neck as his hand began to fondle her chest, slowly he began to kiss her going towards her thighs and then to her genital, Mikaela grabbed his hair as he began to suck on her genitals. Rei then raised his head and kissed Mikaela before finally pushing his rod inside her genital, their room was then filled with moans of pleasure. After doing it six times they both fell asleep.

*knock Knock*

"Are you two alright?" Collin asked through the door but received no answer.

"They aren't hurt right?" A person asked.

"Don't worry about those two, they'll be facing troublesome grounds sooner or later" Collin answered.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Nothing, you should get back to work we'll be opening soon. Oh and before that get me three men to help me fix the wall"
