The enderman surrounded Evelyn, she assured us they planned to come back for us. Apparently they were worried for her. Once they were gone it was just Steve, me, Ender and Hero. Without Evelyn things were more awkward. Ender and I supported Steve on both sides as we stood there waiting.
"Shouldn't they be back now?" Steve said.
"Any moment now," I assured him, Evelyn's enderman were quick generally. I looked over to Hero who had a blank expression, he seemed deep in thought. I was about to say something to draw him into conversation when I saw something flit across his face. Then he teleported.
He appeared behind us under the trees, he seemed alert. Neither Ender nor Steve had noticed him do that. I looked back ahead, wondering why he moved away. I felt a bit hurt.
I didn't have to wait long for the answer.
Suddenly I felt my feet get wet. Then my knees as water flooded around us.
"What the-" Steve said.
The water was in a circle now. I was confused, but something occurred to me, enderman couldn't teleport into water. I nearly let go of Steve.
"We have to leave now!" I said to Ender.
He seemed perplexed but not alarmed, he opened his mouth to speak, but he was interrupted.
"Going so soon?"
I recognized the voice instantly.
"Entity 0," I hissed.
I felt Steve become heavier on our arms.
Entity 0 was sitting in a tree on the edge of the clearing. She had her cloak on again, but I'd seen her with it off. She didn't look sweet now, even though I knew she was a little girl.
"Its almost poetic isn't it?" Entity mused, "the doomed runs to her executioner."
My hands tightened on Steve's back. Evelyn, alone at Mojang.
"Do you reckon they'll kill her now?" Entity flicked a hand.
Ender transferred the weight of Steve entirely on to me. I watched in confusion as he struggled through the water toward Entity.
"Entity 0," he said, his voice was no longer kind. "You have caused enough trouble already, leave us."
"And oh, how I plan to do more," Entity giggled, "EnderSpark, sometimes called Sparky. Head of security for Notch. So fancy really."
Even though Ender was in front of me, from the change in his posture I could see his guard slip a bit.
"Shame really, I only just finished killing that one too. AND NOW he's back AGAIN." Entity motioned to Steve, "easy enough to remedy I suppose, but not much fun really. He wasn't much of a fight."
"I'll give them a fight." Steve muttered, he stood a bit more on his own. But I tightened my grip more.
"Think of Alex." I said.
Entity perked up a bit and addressed Steve this time, "yes do think of Alex. Wouldn't want to die again. Her face when she found out, priceless."
Steve shook with anger.
"No," I muttered, though my temper was slipping too.
Entity shifted her look to me, "must be hard being stuck here when your friend is in danger? Or maybe friend is not strong enough for her."
I tried to contain myself now.
"Don't you just want to fight me Hera, make me pay for your girlfriend."
I did, and Steve did too.
"Enough of this Entity 0." Ender said sharply. "Leave them out of it."
"So protective aren't you Sparky, shame you couldn't save your daughters. Shame you never even bothered with them enough to know them at all. Shame there dead now and you'll never even know your youngest." Entity spat the last part.
I knew something Ender didn't. Entity was Evelyn's sister, so that made Entity Ender's second daughter. Entity wanted to hurt him more then anyone else.
Ender seemed shocked to silence. But I felt his anger coursing through the air. Maybe the three of us had a chance against one of her. I started to inch a hand to my back. Entity leaned forward in anticipation of my attack.
"You're as childish as the day I met you."
I turned and saw Herobrine walking toward us.
Entity lost some of her bravo seeing him. That was why he hid, to lure her out.
"Tell Notch my demands." He said to me, before looking at Entity.
"Hello Herobrine," she said smoothly, "miss me?"
Hero's face twisted and he lunged at her. She in turn rushed to meet him. They spun through the air together up and up. Then they were gone from view.
Evelyn! How long had it been?
I gathered my strength and holding onto Steve teleported.
It was exhausting for me but we made it, I was standing in Notch's throne room now. I took in the scene, Evelyn stood motionless in front of Notch, who was staring at her with venom in his eyes. He seemed to be crafting something.
"Wait," I cried, I pushed Steve lightly forward.
Notch looked up to us and froze.
