Chapter 30: Cut Scene

"Welcome, my Prince. We haven't seen you around in such a very long time. How are the King and Queen? We do hope the Queen's spirits and health are great," Tommy, the young lad who sold his own spice blends said as he smiled brightly and bowed at Leo.

Leo smiled as he looked at the few books piled by the side of the stall. He had never taken Tommy for one who loved reading.

"My parents are both well, thank you, Tommy. I see you are reading Shakespeare; do you intend on becoming a poetry scribe?"

Tommy blushed slightly, before rubbing his palms on his stained apron. "I am planning to go back to school, my Prince. I want to finish high school and perhaps study literature as I do have a love of the written word."

Leo smiled at the young lad. He loved seeing the youth pursuing their dreams.

"Are you already enrolled in any school?" Leo inquired. Tommy's face turned an even darker shade of red as he averted Leo's eyes.
