The entire time during the lunch with Vincenzo's family, he refused to look at, or talk to Sofia directly. The only time he had said something to her was when he had wanted her to pass him some salt. Other than that, he had simply refused to interact with her at all even though his mother had set the table such that they were sitting right next to each other.
His ignorance made Sofia's stomach twist and she couldn't even enjoy the grand feast Angela had prepared properly.
Vincenzo, on the other hand, seemed to have no such qualms. He was praising his mother's cooking, chatting away easily with his family members, laughing along with something Gabriel had said and practically licking his plate clean after ever helping of the food like nothing was wrong.
For him, it probably wasn't. But to Sofia, it was one of the most awkward lunches she had ever had.
