Chapter 48: Who is this woman?

When Grayson saw Harlan and the manager chasing after them, he understood why Lena was in such a hurry. The frost in his eyes made everyone around feel the chill of winter, and Andy behind him silently sweated for these two idiots.

Daring to make a move on the tiger's turf.

"Andy, why can we still see him now?" Grayson stared directly at Harlan but spoke to Andy.

"I don't want to see anything related to him tomorrow."

"Alright, alright."

"If things aren't handled properly, just go straight to Africa and never come back in this lifetime!" The people around also sweated profusely, realizing they had offended a formidable figure.

"It's okay, it's okay," Grayson comforted Lena, who was still trembling slightly in his arms. One hand wrapped around Lena's waist while the other gently patted her back.

Grayson carried Lena out of the hotel, leaving a group of bewildered people behind.

"Who is this woman?" someone whispered among the group.

"What's going on?"

"What do you want to eat?" Grayson asked Lena one question after another.

Lena kept her head down, as if she hadn't fully recovered from her panic just now.

Grayson stopped asking her and took her directly to a top-rated restaurant in the capital, where it was said that without a month's advance reservation, one couldn't dine there. As soon as Grayson opened the door, the manager of the restaurant respectfully approached.

They were led to a prepared private room. The room was exquisite, like a private suite. In the past, he and Alice had wanted to dine here to broaden their horizons, but due to limited funds, they could only take a peek while passing by.

A round white dining table with a golden tablecloth, a vase filled with Lena's favorite blue roses, and more than twenty dishes filled the table.

Luxurious!

Gurgle gurgle... Lena's empty stomach couldn't help but rumble at the sight of the sumptuous feast.

Struggling out of Grayson's arms, Lena sat down and picked up her knife and fork, indulging in the food without caring about her ladylike image.

She had never eaten such delicious food before. Throughout the meal, Lena didn't say a word to Grayson.

Grayson's expression turned somewhat unpleasant.

Was his charm not as good as the food on this table?

For the first time, Grayson doubted his own appearance.

When they got home, Grayson opened the door and walked in, kicking off his shoes without bothering with slippers, and headed straight for the bathroom. He didn't stop his hands along the way, taking off his clothes like a sulking child, randomly tossing his suit and shirt.

Lena followed behind, picking up each item one by one.

She didn't know what had upset him again.

Damn it! He even threw his underwear.

Lena picked it up, bunched it with the clothes, and tossed them into the laundry basket.

Grayson went straight into the bathroom.

Lena's mind was full of thoughts about messing up the contract signing during the day and how to explain it to the director. It seemed like Grayson just rinsed himself quickly; in about ten minutes, he emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, his tight and strong muscles exposed.

He didn't even acknowledge Lena, just walked past her and lay down on the bed.

Seeing this, Lena grabbed her nightwear and went into the bathroom. When she came out after washing up, she saw Grayson lying on the bed, eyes closed, his chest rising and falling rhythmically, indicating he was already asleep.

Lena gently picked up the thin blanket at the bedside, intending to cover him. As she approached, Grayson's big hand reached out and pulled her into his embrace, entwined in passion.
