DUAL BLADED BEASTS

"So this is what the area outside the Stax continent looks like," said Dave as he looks out of his side of the window inside the armored tank.

Right now the armored tank Dave and his fellow students were into is driving on a single underdeveloped road. Thick trees cover both sides of the road so there is not much scenery for the students to appreciate while they were on their journey.

Dave was seated in the back left area of the tank together with an abnormally quiet girl. the four students were seated in pairs in a straight line in the tank as soldiers sat both at the back and front of the students. Mr. Tang is currently sitting in the front seat with the driver as they moved toward the Palpart continent.

"Umm... am sorry for what I did earlier in the contest," said the quiet girl after staying that way for almost an hour on the road.

After glancing at Viona who was actually the quiet girl sitting beside him for some seconds, he sighed.

"It's alright. You don't have to–"

"BRACE FOR IMPACT!!" shouted Mr. Tang as he activated a spell that enveloped the armored tank.

<CRYSTAL BARRIER>

"Wha–" said Dave with a confused expression. But before he could finish his statement, an unknown force suddenly slammed on the vehicle which made it be tossed into the forest on the left side of the road.

BAM!!

After stumbling deep into the forest, the vehicle finally stopped after bumping into a very large tree.

"Is everyone ok?" asked Mr. Tang as he deactivated the spell while coming out of the vehicle. He had disheveled hair along with his clothes were a bit messy.

When he deactivated the spell on the car, he saw that the car was still in a good shape but was upside down.

"Yes sir. We are fine along with the children" said one of the soldiers as they all got out of the car. Most of the soldiers got their clothes torn along with having disheveled hair but the four Students were in perfect shape without having a scratch on them.

After seeing the conditions of the students, Mr. Tang wore a satisfied expression as he said.

"That's good then. We have to find a goo–"

But before he could finish his statement, his senses suddenly picked up a deadly threat coming toward them at high speed.

"Prepare for battle," said Mr. Tang as an azure-colored sword appeared in his left hand while entering his battle stance. The 9 soldiers immediately executed a battle formation as they surrounded the four students protectively.

'It seems we have trouble on our hands' thought Dave as he brought out his Rank D sabers and entered his battle stance. When his fellow students saw him bringing out his weapon to prepare for a battle, they immediately followed by bringing out their various weapons.

After waiting for some seconds for the threat to approach them, they finally saw what made them prepared for a battle.

'Bladed Bull' thought Dave as he looked at the incoming creatures with a solemn look.

A bladed bull is a melee type of beast. their extremely sturdy body coupled with what supposedly should be their two front hooves but is now in a form of a long blade made them a nightmare when it comes to close combat.

They had two horns coming out of their foreheads as they ran into the group with only their two back hooves.

'This is going to be problematic' thought Mr. Tang as he inspected the ranks of the 20-bladed bulls while going up in the air.

There were 10 peak Rank D, 8 initial, and 2 middle phase Rank C creatures charging toward them.

After shortening the distance between them and Dave's group by 20 meters, Mr. Tang suddenly announced.

"Attack!!"

After hearing the approval to attack the incoming threat, the three soldiers that were at the front of the formation immediately activated their long ranged spells.

Although the spells put the bladed bulls' charge to a stop while a few who weren't fast enough to defend themselves were Immediately blasted into dust, they began to resume their charge after blocking the spell.

After confirming that the soldiers could handle the situation against the weaker-bladed bulls, he slightly gave a nod as he began to charge toward the two middle phases of Rank C bladed bulls that were at the back of the horde

But before he could confront them, he heard a shout which prompt him to look at the situation upfront. Suddenly, he had a look of panic on his face as he did a quick turn to go back to where Dave's group is at while screaming.

"Fools!!"

The situation at the frontlines of the battle was quite the opposite of what Tang thought it should be. The bladed bulls have unexpectedly broken through the battle formation the soldiers had created and began to pressure them with their numbers.

<LIGHT FLASH>

Suddenly, what seems to be a trail of light ran through the battlefield as the heads of the bladed bull fell off their bodies.

"Huh?"

Although the soldiers were a bit stunned by the sudden turn of events, their expressions turn into shock after seeing who caused it.

'That will be five-bladed bulls' thought Dave as he inspected the situation in the area.

"So fast" muttered Viona with a dazed expression. Although Jake was fuming with jealousy toward Dave, he simply suppressed it as he said.

"Come on guys, let's show them how it's done"

While being motivated by what Jake said, Viona and Louis activated their spells along with Jake disappeared from where he stood.

While seeing the bladed bulls being killed effortlessly by the four students, a thought came into Mr. Tang's mind along with a dazed smile on his face.

"These kids are monsters"
