Chapter 7

After Cassius left, Anastasia thought of writing her life here in this tower in a journal. She drew out the ink and journal and wrote how Cassius has been mean to her and how everyone calls her traitor for murdering the King.

Finally jotting some words down, she closed the journal before putting it back inside the cupboard. As she stood by the window staring at the other side, she heard the door slowly opened and she turned around to see a maid standing there. She frowned slightly, not expecting to have a change of maid quickly.

Did Cassius changed the maid because of what happened with her and Hannah at the dining room?

"Good morning," the maid said with a bright smile.

"I brought you snacks for lunch," she walked closer before dropping the tray on the table.

Anastasia sat down and took a bite from the biscuits. She furrowed her brows at first before she smiled.

"It taste good," she slowly nodded.

"I knew you were going to like it," she smiled like a five year old child.

Hmm…. Just spending two days here and she was getting fat. She felt like an animal fattened up to be killed later on.

"So what is your name?" She asked.

"Ma… Maggie," the maid replied.

She took another bite from the biscuit before taking a sip from the fresh orange juice. Anastasia was happy that she wouldn't be lonely during the short time she would spend there.

After she was done eating, Maggie left with the empty tray. As Anastasia laid down to sleep, she heard the door slowly opened and she turned around to see Cassius standing at the entrance of the room.

He walked towards the cupboard and drew it out to fetch out a red wine from there.

"Care to take a glass?" He tilted his head as he poured wine into the glass.

She hesitated for a moment and before she could say no, he started pouring wine into another glass. He walked towards the bed and sat down before handing one glass to Anastasia.

Taking a sip from the wine, Anastasia enjoyed the taste. This was the first time she was tasting wine and she could tell it tasted good.

"So how was your day?" He asked, raising his head from the glass. She caught sight of the red stain of wine on his tongue and lips

Cassius didn't understand why he was feeling drawn to her. He had met different women in the Kingdom but no one could compare to her beauty. She felt unreal. She was the perfect one for any man.

Realizing he was drooling over her, he frowned before drawing himself back.

"You assigned another maid for me?" Anastasia asked taking another sip from the wine.

"No," he shook his head.

"I saw a different maid here today," Anastasia said. "She seems nice."

Seeing her glass empty, he grabbed the wine bottle and poured more in her glass. She continued to sip from the wine and she was slowly getting intoxicated.

"I haven't fed since this morning and I don't feel myself," he said, feeling his fangs protruding out.

"If there is any way we could just draw my blood and put it in a bag instead of drinking from my vein everyday," Anastasia suggested.

Cassius shook his head. "I prefer to drink from the skin. It taste fresh."

She continued to blabber how she is innocent and didn't mean to kill the King. Cassius continued to stare at her plump lips unable to pay attention at her words. Was she doing this on purpose?

Taking the last gulp, she placed the glass down before leaning her back to the pillow. She could really hold herself together. The room looked upside down in her eyes. She didn't know when he also dropped his glass and moved closer to her side, his warm breath falling on her skin.

When his hand moved to her neck side, she gasped in response. He leaned closer before sinking his fangs to her skin and he began to draw blood from her veins.

Anastasia swallowed hard as she felt him drawing more of her blood. AHH…. Why does the feeling excite and frighten her at the same time. Her heart started pounding against her chest. She closed her eyes, feeling limb in his arms.

"Aahh…." She screamed feeling her body become weak.

After he was satisfied with her blood, he ran his tongue across the bite mark which sent a shiver down her spine. He released her and she laid on the bed like a sack potatoe. She felt weak.

Cassius got out of bed and he went to the bathroom to soak the towel in water before bringing it to clean the wound. Anastasia frowned, she didn't expect her punishment to be this strong.

She wanted to push him away but right now she didn't have the strength for anything. Just then, the door opened and Hannah walked in carrying a tray of food.

"You need to eat something," Cassius said walking towards the dining room. Anastasia managed to get up from bed and she walked to the dining room to sit next to Cassius. She frowned slightly feeling a sharp pain on her neck.

"We would put a bandage on it later," he said.

"Don't act like you care," she said.

"I never said I cared," he smirked.

"Then why are you doing this?" She asked frowning deeply.

"Because I want you to feel comfortable before you death," he said. Slicing a piece of the steak, Anastasia chewed it in her mouth.

"Hmm," she furrowed her brows.

They finished eating dinner and Anastasia felt full. She stood up from the dining chair and returned to the room. Cassius approached her with the first aid box and he brought out a bandage.

"I can treat myself," she said. "You don't have to keep treating me nice when you want me dead at the end."

One thing she learned when he was taking her blood was that, she didn't feel much of the pain as it was overwhelmed with feeling of pleasure. But it was after he finished feeding from her blood did she feel intense pain
