Will not let you go

Olivia's POV

“Olivia, you can still rest at home or better still quit the job, just like Jude as suggested”. Chris spoke with a frown on his face.

I moved to the table, I picked up my laptop and bag.

“Are you even listening”.he sounded angry, 

“Yes Chris, but I have to go to work and give him a notice that I will be stopping”.

Jude gave me a doubtful look before speaking up, 

“I don't believe you oli, l don't “. I chuckled softly before leaving the apartment.

I got into my car and drove to the office. I got to the office and discovered tony wasn't at the office.

I got to my desk and started working when I heard footsteps moving towards my direction. I look up and saw tony standing by the door.

“You are here”.he sounded happy, 

“Yes, I'm now better “. I quickly look away so I won’t meet his gaze.

He stood there for a moment and I could feel his eyes on me. I nervously pick up a file and started working on it, even when I knew he was standing there.

“I'll be in my office”.he left my office and walked to his office. I hissed in relief before going back to work.

A few minutes later, I was knocking on Tony's office .he asked me in. I got in and couldn't stop myself from staring at him. during the pass years, he has been getting better by the day .he eyes were on his computer, and it seemed he was lost in whatever he was doing. I glanced at him and saw he was indeed handsome just like he was five years ago, 

“Go on “.he spoke up while still typing on his computer. I felt bad and heartbroken when I realized he wasn't looking my way. I stood in front of him and started reading his schedule for the day. I finished reading and noticed he was still focused on his computer.

He noticed me still standing there and raised a bow an at me, 

“Why are you still here “he asked while removing his hands from his computer.

“I was just wondering why you are lost in your computer.

He rubs his hand on his face and I could notice he was stressed out.

“What is it “. I asked,

“We have a deadline for this deal, and I have to finish it before today ends “.

“Why did you not let me know”.“You are not too strong, and I feel it would be better not to stress you “.he replied and went for the computer, but I quickly took it from him.

“Let me see it “. I opened the document and started working on it, 

“Let me do it, am almost done “.he tries to take the computer away from me, but I shifted it from him.

I sat in the visitor's sit opposite him and started working on the file.

Time to time I could feel Tony's gaze on me, but I totally ignored it.

We work on the document for hours before we were done.

“I think we are done “. I spoke up while showing him the files. He looked at the files and I saw him smiling

“You are good at this”.he sent the file and closed the computer

“Let's go for lunch”.he asked while standing up.

I wanted to refuse the offer, but then I realized I was pregnant, and I shouldn't starve the baby.

I stood up from the chair and left the office with him.

His driver drove is to a nearby restaurant. We got in and placed our order. 

“What wine will you have”.he asked, 

“Any drink will be okay by me “. I replied him .the Waiter was about leaving when I remembered I was pregnant, and it will be harm full to the child.

“Waiter”. I called out. He turned around and walked over to me, 

“A bottle of water will be okay for me”. “No drink”.he asked 

“Yes, no drink for me “.he smiled at me and walked away.

“Why no drink “.he asked 

I looked at him and wish I could tell him I was pregnant with his baby, l stared at him and wondered how he would react if I told him I was pregnant.

“Hey, what are you thinking”. I looked up and saw a worried looking Tony.

“Nothing “. I gave him a weak smile, 

“You sure “.he asked in a doubtful voice 

“Yeah”. “Why are you not taking any drink “.he asked while staring at me.

“I don't feel like taking anything”. I replied,

He stared at me and I knew he wanted to say something, but he held it back.

The food was brought in, and we eat in silence.

After eating, we left the restaurant and went back to the office.

I was on my way back to the office when Tony called me back 

“Are you okay “.he asked while staring at me

“Why do you ask “. I asked

“Because you've been acting strange “.he replied while giving me a hard look, 

I stared at him and realized now was the best time to break the news to him 

“I have something to say to you “. I spoke in a calm voice.

I watch as his facial expression changed when he moved closer.

“What is it “.he asked with an anxious look, 

I swallowed nervously and hesitated for a while. Without meeting his gaze, I spoke up, 

“I want to resign”. I whispered,

He stared at me before walking into my office and sat on the chair. His facial expression was plain, and I couldn't read it.

I walked into the office and sat opposite him.

I stared at him as he nervously ran his fingers in his hair .he stared at me but did not say a word.

“I will be here till the end of the month “. I spoke up when I realized he wasn't saying anything.

“And what makes you think I will accept this resignation”.he spoke in a calm voice, but I knew he was angry. 

“I don't get you “. I asked confused 

He stood up from the seat and angrily stood in front of me

“What on Earth makes you think I will let you go “.he spoke angrily 

“Because I'm getting married”. I did not know when that left my mouth.
