Chapter 51

THE LAMBERTS.....

 As Ariana gazed at the ceiling of the room, she could not help but think of Raymond.

" Or is it that you want me to kiss you?" Raymond's words kept ringing a bell in Ariana's head.

" Should I have let him kiss me?" Ariana asked herself. " Maybe" she stood up and went to look at her reflection in the mirror. " What's wrong with me now? I don't understand"

" Ari" Cassandra walked in.

" Hi" that was Ariana.

" Tell me, which clothe should I put on for on Monday's cultural day?" Cassandra asked opening her wardrobe.

" Cultural day? When was that announced?" Ariana asked.

" Today at high school. Cecilia called to tell me about it. " Casey replied still checking her wardrobe. " But this year there's a twist" Casey said.

" Twist? What's the twist?" Ariana asked.

" You have to dress like a particular country of your choice not your own cultural wear." Casey explained closing her cupboard. " Darn it. I don't have anything to wear'' she said folding her arms against her breast.

" I have some money on me. We could go shopping tomorrow" Ariana said.

" You must be crazy. Incase you don't know, I also have money. Mum gives me money too" Casey said.

" Not that. Better" Ariana said smiling.

" And what are you two talking about?" Santiago walked in.

" Santiago, come here" Mariana ran in. " Hi Ariana, Casey".

" Guess what?" Ariana asked.

" What? Do you wanna take us shopping?" Santiago asked 

" Way to go Santiago" Casey sighed.

" Yeah. My dad just sent my monthly allowance but since i live here, I don't really need to spend much meaning, aside my savings, I have a whole lot left" Ariana said.

" Like how much are we talking about here? I mean how much do you have left?" Mariana asked curiously.

" Let's say 48, 000" Ariana said.

" Whoa!! You must be joking" Santiago exclaimed.

" No kidding. So, do you wanna join me and Casey tomorrow?" Ariana asked.

" Of course" Mariana said.

" I'm not the shopping type. Just give me the money" Santiago said.

" Ok then. One minute"  Ariana said and went to open her cupboard to bring out some money.

" And what is that?" Santiago asked.

" Here you go." She said and gave him money. " It's 7,000 dollars. Count it If you want" Ariana said.

" Whoa. Thanks Ariana. I'll leave now" Santiago said and left smiling.

" Wow, that was a lot Ariana. I hope you still have enough left for myself and Mariana right?" Cassandra asked.

" Hold on. I'll give you your's" she went to the cupboard and brought some more money.

" I didn't say I wanted mine now. You'll pay for it at the cashier tomorrow when we go shopping" Mariana said.

" Not to worry. Here's yours. 7000 dollars" she said and handed some money to Mariana.

" Thanks" Mariana said and collected the money.

" As for you my bestie" she said turning to Cassandra. " Here's 17000 dollars" 

" Awwwn. Thank you" Casey said and they embraced each other.

" Hey. How come Casey gets much more than myself and Santiago?" Mariana asked pouting her lips.

" Because she's my best friend. Why else?" Ariana asked. " Now myself and Ariana have 17000 each.".

" Hmm. I'll have my own BFF soon" Mariana said and left.

" Naughty girl" they chorused.

" Jinx, you owe me an ice cream" Ariana said.

" Darn it. Come on, let's get to the ice cream store" Casey said after putting away her money.

" I love you," Ariana teased.

" I hate you" Casey said and they laughed.

" Wow, I never knew banana flavored ice creams were this good" Ariana commented as she ate her ice cream.

" Who doesn't? " Cassandra ate her ice cream.

" Now, let me show you something. Waiter, please come here" Ariana called.

" Yes madam" the waiter answered 

" Please get me two plates of french fries and some whipped cream" Ariana said.

" Ok madam, anything else?" 

" No. That's fine" Ariana said and the waiter left.

" What do you need french fries for?" Casey asked.

" You'll see" Ariana said and sat back.

" Here you go" the waiter returned and dropped the food on the table before leaving.

" Cool. Now let me show you something" Ariana said. She took some ice cream and poured it in the whipped cream before dipping a french fry in it and eating. " Try it"

" Hell no I'm not." Casey said.

" Come on. Try it. It's very delicious" Ariana insisted.

" Fine" Cassandra agreed. She tried it and ate. " Whoa!! This is great" Cassandra said and continued eating.

" Told you you'll like it" Ariana said and continued eating.

" Remind me to tell Mariana and Santiago about this" she said and continued eating.

" I sure will" she said and they continued to eat and chat.

" Selfie!!" Cassandra said as she took a picture of herself and Ariana.

" Let me see" Ariana said and took the phone. " Beautiful. Email it to me alright?"
