The Girl Trapped in Ice

Upon entering the portal, the group of four found themselves teleported to a mysterious cavern, silent but strangely calming. The chamber was quite tall, and all around on the rocks that made up the walls and ceiling, lifeless black crystals jutted out sparingly.

Up ahead, on an elevated platform, a massive variant of those same black crystals lay, rising from the ground. Surrounding it were four fountains with no water coming out of them, giving it an abandoned, somewhat lonely appearance.

"What is this place…" Luna murmured, looking around. "… I can't sense any lifeforms in the area, but using my AR vision, I can tell these crystals hold life within…"

"If my guess is not wrong, this should be the Wellspring of True Ice," Arachne replied, hand on her chin. "Only… all the life has been sucked dry from this place, turning the True Ice into dead Dark Ice. Don't get too close to the crystals—it may Corrupt you as well."
