As Victor patiently waited in his cave for the boys to leave he began getting nervous, they weren't leaving. One of them left after a bit of whispering and then snickering, that definitely doesn't seem like a good sign. He got a bit anxious and started crawling in further, maybe there was another way out. There usually was right? He didn't know for sure but he couldn't just wait for them to leave right now. It became too dark as he got further away from the exit, without having any form of light he made sure his hand was always in contact with the wall while crawling forward. He crawled for minutes, but when he looked back he could still see the little dot of light from the hole that he entered from so he wasn't worried about getting lost.

After what felt like five minutes he started getting a bit worried, how big was this cave and it expanded out to the point where he was now walking straight up. He still left one hand on the wall and another a bit in front so he wouldn't ram face first into stone. Ten more minutes went by and he was Getting extremely worried now, maybe he should head back, but he couldn't see his light anymore. This is not how he was going to die though, as tears once again started welling in his eyes, it can't be how he dies. Finally a small glint of something way up a head, something is without a doubt giving off light but just barely. With his eyes now beyond adjusted to the dark he can see that little speck of light continue to grow bigger.

Eventually reaching the opening, it really was light that was outside, but it was starlight. He hadn't been in that cave for two hours had he? It couldn't be night yet, he left his house just this afternoon, it shouldn't have taken more than four hours to get to this point. Yet it was night here. Looking up at sky Victor noticed a gigantic planet that appeared to be inches away nearly swallowing up the sky with sets of rings encircling it, it looked like it was a molten planet with a deep reddish black glow coming off of it. Very weird, how could traveling through a cave bring about coming to a different world... He wasn't sure if he wanted to go forward or head back home, so he just stared up at the beautiful and alien sky.

Shocking him from his daze, he heard what sounded like a tree breaking in half and slam to the ground giving him a sharp jolt and a shiver to run down his spine, following quickly by thudding footsteps. Whatever made that noise was gigantic and he didn't want to find out what exactly it was. Once again Victor found himself running away on the brink of tears.

He had ran for a solid five minutes before stopping, luckily the giant hadn't seen him or heard him running. Just where was he that giants existed, he had never thought he'd be in a situation this impossible. Figuring he'd better get out of the area before something scarier to come and hunt him down, looking up at the sky there really wasn't any thing to help guide him in this strange area, and looking around there wasn't any identifiable landmarks or towns in the area, also he really wasn't sure where he had come from either. He was undoubtedly lost.

Without any real sense to go one way or another he just started walking in the direction away from where he last heard the giant footsteps. Victor walked for miles all the while hearing strange noises made by the local wildlife, nothing sounded too threatening though, just really creepy. He knew for sure that the animals making those noises weren't from earth or at least not from Canada. It was finally sinking in that he was in an entirely new world. He continued to walk for at least a couple hours, heading in the same direction to make sure he wasn't just spinning in circles. When he left the cave he was at the base of a mountain with a surrounding forest on all sides, now looking at his surroundings where huge trees that shouldn't even be possible, reaching up to the sky and disappearing behind clouds.

The giant planet in the sky gave a soft orange hue to the dark sky making it light enough to see everything, while being dark enough to trip on the stray branches every once in a while. Victor was fed up with this, it was so frustrating, being lost, walking for hours in a strange world, not knowing what's out there, just when he didn't think his body could physically take any more, he came across a huge wooden fence. He couldn't see anything inside the fence as the logs used to make the fence must've been from the trees that reach up to the sky as this was the biggest wall he ever saw.

Hoping against hope this town wasn't a village for the giants in the forest he circled around looking for the entrance. Coming across a road made from rocks he followed it until it led right up to a lantern lit guard post. Excitedly Victor steadily increased his speed until appearing right before him was the biggest adult he'd ever seen. The ginormous man stared down at him, a look of confusion on his face, then started speaking a very odd sounding language Victor had never heard of. Unable to understand what he was saying Victor pointed to himself and stated

" I'm Victor".

The guardsman looked puzzled and began speaking his language again. Victor couldn't comprehend anything until the guard pointed to himself and said

"Sal Matuk"

Apparently his name was Sal, Victor smiled at the understanding while Sal proceeded to walk in town while waving at him to follow.
