46 Chapter 46: Maple Leaf Gold Coins 2

Seiya carefully stared at the treasure map because unlike the one in the anime where it is only a few symbols in a piece of paper and the word Oro, The paper he was holding had two more drawings. The first is the maple leaf symbol after the word Oro beside the 2 box stack with each other and the second is the skull after it, his eyebrows furrowed as he ask Miwako.

"Miwako, was there an arrest that happened last night?"

"Well, There were a few couple arrest. One of them is the leader of an Italian robbery group, Dino Capane, I heard that their group stolen 15,000 Maple Leaf gold coins."

"I think we just found a lead, thanks to our children's group."

"Big brother?! did we help you guys on a case?" -Ayumi

"*Seiya nodded* Yes you guys did, now what rewards do you guys want to have?"

"I want to be with Big Brother!" -Ayumi

"I want to eat Eel meal!" -Genta

Conan suddenly regretted not being able to stop Ayumi from going towards Seiya, if he knew that this symbols would lead to a case. He wanted to solve it by himself, his ugly expression was ignored as Mitsuhiko began asking.

"Can we help solving the case?" -Mitsuhiko

"You can't because Dino's partners from the mafia wasn't arrested so it would be dangerous for you kids to help in the case." -Miwako

Miwako shook her head as Mitsuhiko felt sad for not being able to solve the crime, Genta was already checking the menu as he ordered four breakfast meals for them. Ayumi hugged Seiya's waist as she felt comfortable just by being with Seiya, Seiya took a picture of the treasure map using his phone before giving it to Miwako who curiously stared at it while asking.

"How did you know this could lead to the golden coins?"

"Because Oro in Italian means Gold while the leaf below it is a maple leaf, although the one who drawn the symbols made it look childish. We can check the fingerprints at the edges and it would still lead to Dino who made the map."

Seiya rub his little loli's head as she was like a big cat wanting to stay close to it's owner, Genta and Mitsuhiko began eating as Conan was thinking hard on how to secretly follow them to solve the case. Seiya who stared at the conflicted Conan chuckles as he spoke to Ayumi.

"Ayumi, go home early. Big brother still has to solve this case with officer sato."

"Okay..*pouting*"

Ayumi felt reluctant as she wanted to be with Seiya, but seeing Seiya's serious expression made her understand that it would be unsafe to follow him. Seiya paid for their meal including the kid's meals as Miwako held Seiya's arm like they were intimate lovers, because she was still on guard about their fellow police officer who were trying to invade their private life. Inspector Shiratori who was on a police van immediately called them to retreat as they continue to follow their target. What they didn't know except Seiya, Edogawa Conan sneakily followed them after saying to his fellow children.

"Guys, Professor Agasa has called me to go home now. I have to go now."

"Bye conan~" -Ayumi waiving her hand.

"Bye~ Conan!" -Genta & Mitsuhiko

Because of Seiya's lecture of kids to Mouri Ran, when Mouri Ran and Conan met at Professor Agasa's home. She disagreed with Professor Agasa's recommendation of asking her to take Conan home with her. But she allowed Conan to visit when the office was open. So there was a reason why Conan was in the case of Yoko Okino, Miwako ask as she couldn't understand the symbols below the tower and the crescent moon.

"Seiya-kun what does the symbols represent?"

Seiya moved closer as their intimate holding of hands was seen by the uncover police agents, they felt jealous at the same time they hated Seiya for being too close to their police flower. Miwako didn't notice Seiya's move as she was focus on solving the case, Seiya whispered onto her ears as his breath was again felt by Miwako whose ears turned reddish.

"They should be neon signs except the maple leaf and skull symbol."

"So does this mean that we can only find the missing treasure later at night?"

"No, because I have seen their signs while we were racing towards the station. Give me the car keys, I show you where they are."

Miwako gave her Mazda RX-7 keys as they used her car to go to the cafe, Seiya called Inspector Megure to inform him about Miwako and himself handling the 15,000 maple leaf gold coins robbery case that the Dino had stolen. Inspector Megure agreed as he felt the confidence tone of Seiya, but one thing he noticed when he left his office was that the outside office seemed to be empty like only a few officers were left here. Seiya drove Miwako's car as they went towards an office building where there are two words stack like a box. Edogawa Conan followed them by using Professor Agasa's newest invention called the electric skateboard that can rival a normal car's average speed.

The police squad used their civilian cars and one police van while the Mafia people called a taxi to follow the red Mazda RX-7, Miwako ask while checking the paper.

"Why did you say the skull and maple leaf symbol is not a neon sign?"

"It is intuition, I have a feeling we have to be careful when we find the coins."

"I see, is this the place?"

"Well if my memory was correct, you can see from this place the sixth neon sign then the fifth neon sign is that Ferris wheel."

Seiya pointed his finger toward the Ferris Wheel which has the star and circle symbol that can be seen before the sixth neon sign, Miwako nodded as Seiya led her to the top floor where there were a lot of window. Miwako was surprise that the lake at the bottom of the bridge reflected which shows the symbol after the skull. Miwako ask as she stared at each symbol that can be seen in this building.

"So, where is the gold coins?"

"The gold coins are here."

Seiya saw a few couple of maple leaf gold coins on the ground as he took it, he stared at the ceiling where there was a big black pouch hiding on top of the office hanging light. Miwako excitedly walks closer as she saw the maple leaf gold coins in Seiya's hand, She also saw the opened black pouch that was close to falling, she was about jump up as she wanted to push the pouch to fall to the ground. But Seiya who had a bad feeling immediately stops her as he said while staring on top of the pouch.

"Don't you think we are missing the meaning of the skull symbol?"

"But the pouch *BOOOM*"

Miwako was interrupted as something exploded from below, Inspector Shiratori and his police squad has only arrived in front of the office building when the explosion happened. Conan and the Mafia were one step faster as they went inside the building, Conan taken the elevator that Seiya and Miwako used while the Mafia used the stairs. Who knew Dino the leader of an italian robbery group would set up a bomb in the stairs that would be triggered if someone trip the invisible wire.

The explosion made the black pouch on the office hanging light fell to the ground as multiple invisible wire attach through the pouch was also pulled. Seiya only heard a few clicks which immediately made him hug Miwako onto his arms as he shouted while running towards the Exit Door.

"Close your eyes!"

Seiya used his fist behind her back to smash the exit door then he continues to run down the stairs as the top floor exploded.

*BOOOOOM! BOOOOOM!*

Miwako saw the huge flaming explosion as Seiya continued to hug Miwako while running down. After going down 3 floors, Seiya puts Miwako down because the next staircase was block with big broken debris. Miwako ask with a worried expression

"Seiya-san! Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine, it just that I'm not sure if it is our fellow police officer who triggered the bomb or the mafia that was also following us."

Seiya acted like he was panting from running too hard, Miwako also began to worry for her fellow police officers until her cellphone received a phone called from Inspector Shiratori who had an anxious tone.

"MIWAKO, Are you okay?!"

"We're fine! But how did you guys know that we were in a dangerous situation?"

"Uuh, We coincidence saw you two parking in the area."

Inspector Shiratori felt sweaty as he heard of Miwako's question, Miwako snorted as she knew that he should be the only one who can allow someone to use a police van and order some undercover. Seiya took her phone as he ask.

"Inspector Shiratori, has any of your people enter the building?"

"No, we just arrived in front of the building."

"I see, call the firefighter. We are currently trap in the 7th floor of the building. We will try to find a way to get down closer to the ground."

"WHAT?!" -Shiratori

Miwako was also shock to hear that they were trap inside, she turned around and saw the big debris blocking the staircase. Seiya hanged the phone up after a few more orders, he sigh as he said.

"I didn't expect my second case would lead to this kind of scenario."

"I didn't expect it either, that Dino guy is really cruel. He planted a bomb even for his partner from the mafia."

"Lets check the elevator, maybe we can use the rope that holds the elevator to go to the third floor."

Seiya didn't ask for Miwako's opinion since they were in a tight situation where the flame from below and top was increasing as the heavy smoke was moving closer. Seiya held her hand as they went to the elevator doorway, he opened it up using his barehand which made Miwako surprise on how strong he is. They carefully check the elevator shaft using a flash light, they saw the elevator stuck in the 5th floor. He ask Miwako gently.

"Do you trust me?"

"Yes!"

"Hug me!"

Miwako noticed his plan, which made her shy but she resisted her emotion as she placed her arms around his neck while putting her legs around his waist. Seiya spoke as he held her waist with one hand as the other hand was getting ready to grab the rope.

"Hold on tight!"

Seiya jumps as Miwako closed her eyes, he used one hand to grip the rope while his right leg twisted around the rope so that their fall was slow and steady. It was like a firefighter going down their pole. It took a 10 seconds before landing onto top of the elevator car as Conan who was panicking heard the sound. Miwako went down from Seiya as she opened the emergency trap door, she saw Conan who was panicking to open the elevator door. She couldn't help but ask.

"Kid!? What are you doing here?"

"Eh, I was curious on how big brother and sister would solve the case so I followed you guys.*tehe*"

Conan acted like a kid as Miwako sigh because she felt angry for kids who don't listen when it is dangerous. Seiya couldn't help but smack Conan in the head as he said.

"Why do you always snoop around when there is a case, you were like this when it was Yoko's case."

"Because I want to be a great detective!"

Conan rub the swollen lump on his head as he spoke with a sincere tone, Miwako who wanted to continue scolding immediately soften but she still spoke harshly.

" Kid, it is a good goal to become a detective. But you are not in the right age to be a detective and there are license and practice that you need to take with guidance of a teacher. Snooping around a case without permit is very illegal! Don't do it again!"

"Okay...."

Conan lowered his head as he acted like he learned his lesson, Seiya shook his head as he knew this little devil would not stop as he is very stubborn in following his principle. He opened the elevator door that conan couldn't open as he saw the fifth floor was still safe, Miwako holding Conan immediately went outside the elevator car before Seiya. As woman and children are the first priority, Seiya opened one of the windows as he saw the firefighters and their truck in front of the building. He shouted while waiving his hand.

"We're here!!"

"Stay there! We be coming right up!!"

The firefighter shouted with his megaphone as his fellow firefighter operated the fire truck with a ladder. They were lucky that the ladder max extension reach the fifth floor window as both Miwako and Conan sighed in relief. They went down safety as the Mafia people who triggered the bomb in the staircase were presumed dead, since no one could survive a bombing who was inches away from the explosion. At the ground, Miwako led Seiya to the ambulance as they check Seiya's back which was full of glass shards and debris. She sighed in relief as she said.

"It looks like I owe you two request."

"I feel like I want to use the first request."

"What is i*smooch*"

Miwako was interupted as her mind became blank, Seiya kissed her lips for a split second. Inspector Shiratori and his fellow police officers that were walking towards their location was shock as they seem to hear their hearts cracking like glass, when they saw this scene. Conan who landed in the ground immediately escapes as he didn't want to be scolded by people, it took her a second before Miwako reacted. She blushes as she punch him in the shoulder before unconsciously speaking in a coquettish tone.

"Hmph! just this time!"

Seiya chuckles as Miwako led Seiya onto her car as they had to go back into the station to report of this incident. They didn't care about the police squad who were crying for injustice and jealousy as Seiya closed his eyes when he sat on the passenger seat, he wanted to take a short nap before arriving at the police station.
