EPHS-Chapter 456 A Decent Harvest

Within the palace, a dozen or so young boys and girls were brought in. They were all hybrids within the Carmilla Faction Vampires possessing Sacred Gears. Whether in Tepes or Carmilla, the status of hybrids was extremely low.

Pure-blood Vampires wouldn't host Sacred Gears; only hybrids with human bloodlines would exhibit them. Considering the rarity of hybrids and the low probability of them hosting Sacred Gears, Tenraku estimated that having around 4 to 5 would be good, but there were many more than expected.

"All the ones before have been dealt with; these are all hybrids with awakened Sacred Gears in the past one or two years. The reasons are not clear yet, but the number of Sacred Gear awakenings in the last one or two years has been much higher than ever before," Carmilla Queen, seated on the throne, spoke, and a hint of curiosity flickered in Tenraku's eyes.

Without hesitation, Tenraku activated the ability of Sacred Gear Plunder and forcibly took the Sacred Gear from the girl.

"Aaahhhhhh!!!"

The entire palace resounded with painful screams. The process of having their Sacred Gears forcibly taken was excruciating, something these young boys and girls could barely endure. When Tenraku extracted all the Sacred Gears, all the youths had already fainted.

"Take them away," The Carmilla Queen ordered.

"Most are ordinary, but there are two that are not bad," Tenraku replied, playing with Carmilla Queen's silky and obedient hair, a smirk forming on his lips.

Of the thirteen Sacred Gears Tenraku had seized, some could amplify strength, some could increase speed, and still others could assist with invisibility. For ordinary people, these might have been some pretty good Sacred Gears, but for Tenraku now, they were all pretty useless.

However, there were two Sacred Gears that Tenraku was particularly fond of. One was called "Space Leap", and the other was called "Five-senses Manipulation".

"Space Leap" was taken from a teenager of about ten years old. This Sacred Gear could transport the host to any place they had ever reached before, or it could leave a coordinate point on a specific target's body. No matter where the target went, the host could instantly arrive at the target's side...
